He was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 16, 1923. He came to California when he was 2 years old and graduated from Long Beach Poly High School in 1941.
He was a pilot in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant and flew numerous combat missions in the European theater. After the war, he became an electrician and made his home in the Los Altos area of Long Beach for 62 years.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Dellora Denny, his son and daughter in-law Clinton and Debby Denny of Deer Lodge, MT, his son and daughter in-law Craig and Victoria Denny of Oakhurst, CA, his daughter and son in-law Denise and Danny Gilliam of Slippery Rock, PA, his daughter and son in-law Janice and Mike Oxford of Garden Grove, CA, his sister Hazel Johnson of Reedley, CA, 8 grand-children, 9 great grand-children, many nieces and nephews and wonderful neighbors.
He was the love of Dellora’s life.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Grace Denny, his brother Gilbert Denny and his granddaughter Molly Huckabey.
