graduating from Moline High School where he joined the first wrestling team established by Coach Joe Vavrus and during that period took second place dur
ing the State finals in Chicago.
Dale was an accomplished drummer, taking lessons from well known native of Moline, Louis Bellson. He toured Europe with the U. S. Army
Headquarters 6th Army band during the Korean conflict.
He attended the University of Illinois majoring in Commercial Art, leaving college to marry Jeannie Walters on Sep 6, 1952. In 1956 he moved to
California where he established a commercial cleaning company and also a Party store.
Dale was an avid golfer throughout his adult life and took up ballroom dancing in his 70”s going to dances 2 or 3 times a week, He was asked at times to
sit in with the Senior Orchestra as a drummer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy, by his wife Jeannie Walters Buller,and his sister, Katherine Buller Rannow.
He is survived by two daughters Shelley (Frank) Rivadeneyra, Fullerton, Ca; Andrea (Scott) Knoob, Anaheim, Ca and a granddaughter, Sabrina
Knoob. Also surviving are a brother, Charles of Rock Island, a sister, Charlotte Buller Maurhoff and a sister Janet Buller Gleason of Murrieta.
A memorial is planned for Nov 10th in Costa Mesa, Ca.
