Dear Cindy, Mark and Ariana,  
It has been such a hard few years for all of you.  While this is a time of profound loss, it also a time to be comforted knowing that your parents brought so much joy to their friends and family. When Auntie Eadie and Uncle Sid would visit us in Winnipeg, it was like Xmas at our house -- or at least how I imagine Xmas must be  if we had celebrated it.  For days Mum would be bustling around the house making sure that things would be “just so” for our guests.  Since Sid and Eadie often came by car in those early days, we never knew exactly when they would arrive, which only added to our excitement as children. I have memories of the sisters having lengthy and animated discussions about what to wear and not wear, and of course, there was the jockeying for the use of our solitary washroom. There were also the lengthy -- though silent -- conversations between my Uncle Sid and your Uncle Leonard which both seemed to find remarkably satisfying. And then there was the “family get together event,” when cousins and friends by the hundred, or so it seemed, would drop by the house to catch up with the out-of-towners and to share the pleasure of having the family all together.  Wonderful memories of wonderful people.

Dear Cindy, Mark, and Arianna,
We are so saddened by Auntie Eadie's passing.  
I have such wonderful memories of all her visits home to Winnipeg and of ours to you in California.  She was such an amazing woman!  
I am so grateful that Nomi and Aaron were fortunate enough to meet and spend time with their Great, Great- Aunt during our last trip to the States.

So sorry to hear about "Auntie Eadie's" passing.  She was a very kind and warm person.  I remember fondly many many visits to your house in Downey, and then to see both your parents at their place in Irvine.  I have to say that I always thought that the "folding dining room table" was the most amazing piece of furniture I ever saw!

I'm extremely sorry to have lost Eadie my oldest friend.I was 8 years old when we moved in and lived together with the Fireman family in Winnipeg. I immediately acquired 3 "sisters" I've never forgotten. I rejoice in the memory with love.  Syd Perlmutter...Toronto.

So sorry for your loss.  My mom Elaine Sweet and your mom were friends from Downey, and Bnai Brith Women.  I remember my mom talking fondly  about Eddie Stoller.  You are very lucky to have had your mom for this many years.  I lost my mom 35 years ago.  Sounds like your mom had a fulfilling life with lots of love and family.

Dear Cindy, Aunt Eadie meant a lot to me I loved  her and I'll miss her. I'm glad we got to see her on Sunday.She was a talented artist and I'm proud we have her artwork hanging in our house to help remember her.

Cindy, our deepest sympathies on your loss.  I have so many wonderful memories of your mom, and of good times together with our families.  Your mom was one of my moms dearest and closest friends.  She was a good and kind person and will be missed by all. While we are far away in miles, we are surrounding you and the family in love.

My sister, Eadie, was a very wonderfully talented woman. I'm very fortunate to have some of her art work in my house as a constant reminder. We shared many memories of our childhood and also many happy family occasions. 
She will always be in my heart.

I am very sorry to hear of Edythe's passing. She was a wonderfully warm woman who was a very good and loyal friend to both of my parents.  I am especially grateful for how she was there for my father after my mother passed.  I will think of your parents every Thanksgiving since they were such regular fixtures at our family's Thanksgiving dinners. I feel fortunate to have known Edythe and trust she is now in a peaceful place.

You are welcome to share memories of my mom on this site. The funeral service is open to all family and friends.  Contributions to the Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.

I am very sorry for your loss.  I will always remember sharing dinners at your house with your parents when we were all very young.  It is never easy to lose a parent.  I hope you can find solace in the artistic and personal achievements your mother made throughout her life.
