Dear Family,

My heart is saddened to hear this sad news💔. Please accept my deepest sympathies..
I met Ezra in 1998 at United Airlines Santa Barbara. He always had a smile on his face and was a wonderful person to be around. He always greeted me when I showed up to my shift and put a smile on my face. Coming from Sri Lanka, I was not familiar with Latin names and Ezra taught me how to pronounce Reyes. Everyone loved him. May you all feel comfort in knowing that he was well loved, and find peace during this difficult time.
Dearest Ezra, Rest In Peace❤️🙏.

RIP Ezra, you were one amazing human being. You could always put a smile on someones face in a minute! I so enjoyed working with you at United in Santa Barbara, but the best was being able to call you my friend. My deepest condolences to your family.

Sugar...you will be missed. We shared the same hire date! So proud to watch you leave UA and chase your dreams of ATC. I always thought one day I’d hear you on the radio and quickly say SUGAR and you would know it was me. The SBA ramp would never have been the same experience without you. Nothing beat a Sugar hug!

RIP Ezra :( I met Ezra while working at SBA airport for united airlines sometime between 1998-2001. He was always listening to the pilots radio at every moment he had available. He was so excited to become an Air Traffic Controller, he talked about it all the time. Whenever I hear something on the news or anything about ATC I always think of Ezra. My sincerest condolences to his family.

Ezra,

I was so sad to hear about this today. And that’s because you were a good guy with a good heart. I’m grateful that I got to know you during my time in area A. You always had a way of creating laughter out of a dull moment, even if that was uncomfortable laughter lol. You were generous with your time and your knowledge. And you were completely unique. Thanks for taking me in early on as a trainee and making me feel like part of the crew. I’m going to miss you man.

Ezra,

I really got to know you when I became a supervisor in Area A. You were one of the people who made my first year as a supervisor the best I could have ever asked for. Our crew was awesome. We all had so much fun hanging out on weekends, eating dim sum or shabu shabu or something equally as delicious, going to the range, spending time in Vegas. I will always remember Money Mondays and Saturday night potlucks. You will be missed. I pray for your family and for you always.

Rest In Peace and love my friend.
