Dear Pat, (I only know you as "Leo") Patricia and Andrea,
I'm truly sorry to hear about Madeline. She was my hairdresser for more years than I can remember, and Andrea did my nails for years. Your mom became a good friend and we would spend a lot of time discussing the remodel of her kitchen or whatever else she was remodeling, whether it was in the shop or wherever we happened to run into each other! She was a pillar of strength and will be missed by all. Holding all of you in my prayers with love, Jan Schones

Dearest De Leo family.
The 8 years I spent working with Madeline were so very special to me. I've never met anyone before or since who could do so much for so many, all with the warmest smile I've ever seen. I love you Madeline, I will never forget you & I will always miss you.

Patricia & Andrea I am truly sadden by your loss. I myself lost my mother Feburary of this year. Your mother then said to me these wise words "Memories are all thats left but your mother will live on through the education she gave you" and now I say to both of you the same as she will also live on through both of you.

Pat, Words can come and go but truly can say that Madeline has blessed many lives with her love and will continue to do so. You are very much loved and know you will overcome this for your daughters and family.

A Daughter's Promise

Every time that I smile,
Every time that I sigh,
I think of your face,
And a tear escapes my eye.

You were my world,
My inspiration and my heart,
But when you left me,
I thought I would fall apart.

You were my best friend,
My one true 'confidante',
And that's not all you were,
You were also my mom.

I didn't want to live without you,
But you would have wanted me to,
And if there's anyone I want to make happy,
That anyone is you

I would have given anything to have you back,
But I know now that it was meant to be,
For you are still watching from up there,
And I know you're watching me.

I'll make you proud mom,
I'm going to fulfill your wish,
You're going to see me and smile,
That's a daughter's promise

I am missing more and more each day. I want to call you first thing each morning and you are usually the last person I speak to on the phone each night. You have always been so much more than my "Mom". I always felt that I could confide in you and you never judged me, or anyone else for that matter. I will never get over the loss of you. You are my heart and soul, my best friend.
