Makis is preceded in death by his parents Demetrios and Theodora.
He is survived by his wife Voula, sons Demetrios (Rowena) and Elias (Letty), grandchildren Michael (Vanessa), Athena (Zach), Jimmy and step-grandson Joseph (Joanna), great granddaughters Avaleigh and Athena, step-great-granddaughters Jiselle and Jia, sisters Markella and Marika (Andrea), and numerous extended family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Makis' life will be held at Harbor Lawn - Mt. Olive Chapel, 1625 Gisler Ave, Costa Mesa CA 92626 on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:00am followed by a graveside service at 12:00pm.
