Writing this is extremely hard because I still can't accept the fact that such a radiant light is gone. Noah was my first friend that I met when I moved to Madrid, we shared a room together and spent so much time talking, bonding & just being free in our new city. He was always the first to make a person laugh, feel special or to even be heard. He had a way about him that made you want to be fully vulnerable & honest and you knew you would be accepted. We shared soooo many laughs, drinks, time & dancing moments together that I will treasure them dearly!! I got the honour of meeting his entire family, his mom, Felice, his dad, Robbie and his sister, Sarina all in the same year and got to share incredible moments with them as well! My birthday with the parents and New Years with Sarina! All days made more special because even after such a short time Noah he told them all about me and our time together. It's hard trying to finish writing this because how can words truly capture a person like Noah Jacob Shohet. He was an incredible man, a lifelong friend & an overall gem of a person. I'm happy knowing you're no longer suffering and even gotten the chance to meet you, but I'm at a lost for words knowing you're no longer here to chat with, recommend reggaeton songs or to eat tacos & drink tequila with anymore hahaha. I love you Noah and your family, may you rest easy and in peace💕

אומנם הכרנו באמת רק בגיל 12 (שזה ממש מוזר) אבל החיבור בנינו היה כל כך מהיר וחזק. לא רק בגלל שהיינו קרובים בגיל, היה שם משהו שונה. היית הבן דוד הכי מגניב שלי, זה שמבין אותי וזה שצוחק מכל מה שאני מספרת לו, כל הזמן רציתי להיות לידך.
השנים עברו, הייתי רואה אותך פעם בשנה בערך, אתה בשלך, בלימודים ואני בשלי, בצבא. 
אני זוכרת שהמחלה הארורה הזאת תקפה אותך לא האמנתי. כל כך לא רציתי שזה יקרה לך. אבל אתה, רק צחקת, לא הפסקת להיות אופטימי, היית יותר רגוע מאיתנו 😂. היא תפסה אותך ואתה ניצחת! אני זוכרת שהגעת לארץ, אחרי שחזר לך השיער, כל הזמן אמרת לי ״דורין תגיעי בו, תרגישי״. כל כך שמחת וגם אנחנו כי לך זה לא הגיע.

My sweet boy, my best friend, my person. You have been the biggest blessing of my life and made me feel like the luckiest gal in the entire world. This feels so stupid to post and words will never be enough, but these photos make me so damn happy i wanna share them with the world. I can’t wait until we are reunited in heaven. this was the last painting i ever gave you. i think i deep down knew it would be the last, which is why i wanted it to be based on the first photo we ever took together. we must’ve been 13 years old tops? you always supported my love of art, even when i was absolutely terrible at painting and drawing. you saved every single thing i made you ... including a very passive aggressive valentine’s day card that had an incredibly detailed drawing of a rose and said something like “just friends” after you had continued to tell me you only liked me as a friend. (well, you definitely taught me that persistence pays off, and when you know you love someone you don’t stop at anything to show them that) A couple months ago we had a really long discussion about art and i guess i was trying to explain the art world to you, something i completely don’t understand either. and you told me how when i first started using the rhinestones and crystals you thought it was kinda tacky. but then one day you were just like yes ! i get it and now im totally obsessed with it! so you better believe that as soon as you said that, i knew exactly what i was gonna make you for your birthday. im so so so blessed to have been able to see you one last time and give you something that represents how deep and long and lasting our love for each other was and always will be.


Hey Sarina, it’s Davon. I am so sorry to hear about Noah. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I remember I was on a service trip with Noah in Peru back at TVT and he showed me this magic trick with a deck of cards that I thought was unbelievable and for the two weeks of the trip he wouldn’t tell me how it was done until the last day and would playfully tease me about it. To this day (6 years later) I show at least one new person that magic trick every week and always think back to Noah and that service trip. If there is anything you or your family need, please let me know.



Life has never seemed less fair than it has to me since you left us. You were my little but man you were my true little brother. It is so rare to find someone who is unanimously loved. You’re one of those people. You made everyone feel important, you made everyone smile and you brightened everyone’s lives. You didn’t give that disease one day. Your time here was short but your impact will live on forever. I love you buddy. Please everyone go donate blood in Noah’s honor.


A month had gone by when news of Noah's passing reached us in Spain, where Noah helped us teachers at Forges High School. 
Some weeks were required for me to take in the terrible news and accept the unbelievable truth and so, this message reaches late in time.
Oblivious as I was about Noah's condition, the shock was even greater.
He gave his best in everything he did, always happy, positive, committed, attentive, reliable, proactive... 
He lived his days here in Spain to the fullest. Nothing gave away what he was going through. I've learned that was his wish and it is certainly one more thing to admire him for. 
He left a sweet memory on those who met him last year in our school. We teachers have preferred to keep the students unaware of the terrible truth so they can picture him in his sunny California, enjoying life as he did, always smiling, never sad, never upset, never grim.
To me, he was a criature of light, a true angel among us. You could feel, and almost see, the light that emanated from him. That can hardly be said about anyone else. He was truly special.
To help me with the pain, 
I can only cherish the months we worked together and feel grateful for meeting such a wonderful soul.
We love you, Noah!

I can’t believe it has been almost seven years since we first met in the parking lot of Northwood III - you came out to my car to tell me about the party scene on campus we were going to later that night and then to also help my parents and I bring some of my belongings up to our room. Damn, did we continue to have so much fun over the years. After a rough first semester, I debated leaving Michigan. You not only convinced me to stay, but to also join the same fraternity you rushed a semester earlier. Easily one of the best decisions I’ve made. Ever since, you’ve continued to look out for me and support me through thick and thin despite having your own struggles, and I honestly do not know where I’d be without you. Every time I came out to visit, your number one priority was to make sure I got the complete LA experience: In-N-Out, hitting the Santa Monica pier, Nick’s breakfast burritos, driving down PCH blasting Sublime, swimming in the pacific, and hitting the dunes late at night to play the guitar and chill. After you got back to Michigan, we continued to have so much fun over the years: tailgating, Vegas, Skeeps, late nights studying, and meeting up for dinner to talk about life and to laugh.

It is impossible to measure the everlasting impact you’ve made on my life and that of everyone you’ve met. Your enthusiasm for life is truly contagious and unmatched. Thank you for always going out of your way to show how much you love and care for your family and friends, especially me. You’re the best friend anyone could ask for. Love you always brother.


I am so lucky to have met Noah. Noah and I bonded over the tough pre-med classes at Michigan and he always found a way to make light of the struggles. Over the summer we drove to Chicago for an impromptu weekend trip. Noah hopped in last minute because "why not!". That's how he viewed all aspects of life. He took every opportunity to go on a new adventure and be grateful. I strive to live in the moment just like Noah did. I don't think he ever took the smile off his face that whole car ride, even when he was telling us about getting sick again. Noah has a way of lifting people up that is unlike anybody else. I was in many science classes with Noah at Michigan, and as we became frequent study buddies we also became very close friends. As I probably complained about something as minor as an organic chemistry problem, Noah was dealing with much more and still managed to make me feel better and put a smile on my face. From the start, I was so drawn to Noah’s endless positivity and optimism, and I will forever cherish each moment that I got to spend with him. I am glad that our studying turned into many conversations about life, music, going out, traveling, our dating lives, and what we want to do when we’re older, because Noah’s stories, perspectives, and humor were unforgettable. I have never met someone that has made me feel so special whenever I talked to them, and I admired that so much out of Noah. 

In honor of Noah’s love for dancing at Rick’s on a Friday night, I will never waste a moment living it up on the dance floor. I aspire to live my life to the fullest like Noah always did, and I will never forget how much he touched my heart.

As I captured in a snapchat one day, Noah randomly yelled “I love love” in the car with the biggest smile on his face as we were driving down Washtenaw on a beautiful day, and that is how I will always remember him. Noah, thank you for being a light in my life and a great friend. Miss you so much.

Noah was one of those people who was able to lift up everyone around him, no matter the situation. For me, that was a Spanish class during our Freshman year at UofM. Even on the first day, he was his usual kind, vibrant, hilarious, inviting self. He made everyone in the class feel comfortable by making us all laugh, despite the “first day awkwardness,” and that feeling never went away. 

Outside of class, Noah was always one of my favorite people to run into. It was a treat to see him at a party and exchange some goofy dance moves, or to see each other between classes and exchange a quick song recommendation. He made the people in his life feel amazing about themselves because of how genuinely and wholeheartedly he cared for those around him. He saw the world in a pure, fun, and joyful way that translated to every one of his interactions. 

Reading everyone’s stories just solidifies how amazing and unforgettable Noah was. Sending lots of love to his family and everyone who knew him.

I met Noah in Ecuador in 2017, as we stayed with the same host family, and we soon became close.  I had arrived a few days before him, but I could tell that he had revolusioned the whole place (which he was really proud of). There seemed to be different cliques going on, but he managed to get everyone together to hang out, travel, and, of course, go out. 

We were all together 24/7 and created lots of memories (he always said he liked "creating memories" so that he could share them with other people and he did tell us a lot of stories about his friends and families back home), but I'll control myself and only share a few.

I remember him very vividly trying super hard to learn some Juanes songs with his guitar, always trying to pay for everything (I had to have a chat with him so that he didn't go bankrupt in Ecuador), laughing at everyone including himself, asking me for Spanish help when writing our Ecuador journals together, working really hard in the clinic, and wanting to do everything at the same time and all the time. 

I believe everyone can imagine how happy Noah was when we discovered this super vibrant rooftop bar in Quito, the Secret Garden, which was part of a youth hostel. The food was super nice, the people were really interesting, and we had some really valuable conversations in there. Noah's favourite part, however, was a school bus (!) that came at midnight to take everyone from there to a club. The ride was the best part as this bus was something like a club itself.  Noah was euphoric every single time (we did go there often).

I also remember all our long phone calls once he was back in the States and I was in England about everything in life. I was really proud I influenced him to go to Madrid, my city, in 2019, but also sad that he had to leave and we didn't manage to see each other there.

I've always talked about Noah to my close friends and family because I truly thought he was special. I'll always keep doing it.

Noah was a one-of-a-kind language assistant. He connected with the students from the start, especially with the more challenging ones. He was pure joy in the classroom. Even during lockdown, some students would not attend any other classes but his speaking sessions. 
We were so lucky to have him working with us in Madrid last year. No one knew what was going on in his life health wise. I was in shock when he told me he had to go back for tests and treatment in December. He did not want anyone to know and no one would have guessed judging by his energy and positivity.  I think his time in Spain was a sort of "get away from it all".  He came back in January as if nothing had happened.  
He taught many brilliant English lessons to our students, but we will always remember him for the most valuable life lesson he taught all of us; "always look at the bright side of life".
He loved Monty Python, and British comedy in general, which made him connect with the other language assistants immediately. We had so much fun during our weekly meetings. I don't think I will ever feel so much at ease as I did with such a genuine team  player. He could bring everyone together, no matter where they were from.
One morning I got a phone call from a Chinese restaurant near Delicias (where he used to live) asking me if I knew Noah. They told me he had left his backpack with his laptop, wallet, etc. and they found my number on one of his papers. Obvioulsy he was relieved and happy when I told him, but he had not mentioned anything to his peers on the day. I guess he did not want any of us to worry about it.  He was such an incredible person.
We were so keen on his renewal the following year, but he wanted to continue with his nursing career back home, which I could understand. 
Noah, you will always be very fondly remembered here at Forges School!

I was very lucky to meet Noah last year, during my junior year in high school, here in Spain. When they gave us the news that he was coming,  we were all very excited about the idea of ​​having an American teacher with us, and every Tuesday in class we were able to enjoy him, his radiant smile, and his fun classes... We will always remember him fondly, and he will always be present in our lives! We can only thank him for how much he cared about us, and for how, in spite of the covid virus, and from California, he continued to teach us and make us participate in his great games! Thanks for everything Noah, and for giving us the pleasure of meeting you and dancing by your side to the rhythm of Shakira, we will always love you !!

Noah was truly a one of a kind person. He had an energy that was unmatched, a positivity that could not be shaken. He inspired me to always be my best. Noah was the kind of friend everyone needed in their lives. He knew how to pick me up when I was down, how to loosen me up, and how to make any person in the room feel welcome, heard, and wanted. I will forever cherish the memories of each and every night that Noah and I spent talking for hours, just the two of us. His smile, his love of life, and his commitment to his friends will stick with me for the rest of my life

To Felice, Jack, and Sarina: although we spent most of our time together under tough circumstances, it was a true honor to meet the people responsible for shaping Noah into the friend he was. I was able to see from where Noah got his strength, his positive attitude, his outgoing personality, and his love and respect for those close to him in his life. I can only begin to imagine how deep the pain is, but I hope this feed provides you a glimpse into the lives that Noah has touched.  . You gave me one of the most powerful gifts, the gift of a true friend, and I know just how many people out there feel the same way.

I met Noah at my Fraternity big little—I was a freshman and he happened to be my great-great grandbig. I was probably the only guy in the room who had a great-great grandbig, but Noah embraced the opportunity to impart his college wisdom on me. He was always there to talk about life and things that interested him, and listened to my small freshman problems with open ears. He has touched so many of us and will always be remembered.

Noah was one of the most positive people I’ve ever met. You would seldom see him not cracking a smile or laughing back. One of my favorite memories of Noah was during our  frequent hibachi trips. Noah was a great listener and routinely offered some of the best advice I ever got while in college. That was Noah, with everything he was going through, yet always finding a way to make you feel more heard. Miss you bud. Ozzy

The first thing I think about when I remember Noah is his smile and his energy. Every interaction with him was positive and almost always left me smiling or laughing. We could be only eating a meal or sitting on the couch watching TV, but Noah would always exude a feeling that he was living his best life, even in those moments that seemed somewhat ordinary. I graduated in 2019 and haven’t seen Noah since I was last at school—I wish we had had an opportunity to spend more time together. I’m thankful for those moments we did have, and I’ll always be inspired by his excitement for the little things and his devotion to those around him.

Just two weeks ago, I was facetiming with Noah, telling him I was coming back to visit my family in LA and that I was going to be passing his house during a drive. We talked about me coming to hang out at his house, grabbing food by the beach and just catching up, something we hadn't done as much over the past couple years post graduation. After getting a call about Noah's passing, words cannot describe the emotions that I have. After all his fighting, I never thought this day would actually come. However, one thing I know is that I am so happy I took a break from work to facetime my friend, see him happy and talk with him one last time, even though it was just for 5 minutes.

Noah and I made countless memories within and outside the fraternity and all of them were special, however, my first interaction with Noah stands out. Noah and I just happened to be on the same flight back to LA from Detroit after the first semester of our Freshman Year. We had never met prior to that but in true Noah fashion he began chatting with me, telling me about his life, where he was from, and how his first semester went. The chatting never stopped, we talked the entire time right up until the plane took off. That's who Noah was, he cared to learn more about people, understand their story and make them feel special. He made a lasting impact in my life, I'll miss him forever and always think of him when I see a watermelon.

I met Noah my freshman year at Michigan and I was lucky enough to be his ‘great grandson’ with Ari as my grand big and Hunter as my big. Our lineage was known to all look the same as each other, even though I Iook nothing like Noah, Ari or Hunter. 

Noah and I had a good relationship my freshman and sophomore year of college. He was certainly one of my very few role models for the first two years at Michigan. Noah would go out of his way to give me advice on school, girls, and pretty much anything on my mind. 

Hanging out with Noah, Ari and Hunter was always a memorable experience. Our lineage dinners and hangouts were always atypical from most lineages, but so much fun. Our lineage dinners ranged from drinking tequila and then eating Indian food on north campus to going to Noah and Ari’s apartment for passover. 

Noah was a busy guy and had a ton of friends, but he was always there for me and went out of his way to be a great friend and role model to me when I was just a random, relatively immature freshman. Noah brightened every room he was in with his great energy and positivity. Being friends with Noah was a privilege, because he truly lived life to the fullest. Noah had a positive impact on so many lives, and others should certainly look to the way he carried himself, along with his attitude, to improve their own lives. 

I hadn’t spoken to Noah in a little over a year, but after he left Michigan we would keep in touch. I would reach out to Noah when I had a funny experience at school that I knew he would get a kick out of. 

The news I received this morning is truly devastating. Noah has made such a positive impact on my life, along with the life of his brothers, friends, classmates, and others. My greatest condolences go out to Noah’s family and friends.

As I continue on through life, I will never forget the advice Noah has given me, along with the positive energy he emitted to those around him.

Noah was part of the reason I ended up choosing Michigan. I stayed with him in his dorm room on North Campus and went to my first game day with him, what a crazy night! The next day, when I was on my campus tour with my mom, Noah came by with Mojo cookies and embarrassed me by singing in front of everyone. Every time after that seeing Noah on a gameday would make my day! 

One of my favorite things was cooking with Noah. He would text me that he has way too much food and needs to cook it and he would come over and get to work while I would just sit, watch and talk for hours. Those were the best nights. Noah was one of a kind; funny, caring, and one hell of a fighter. I will always cherish the time I spent with him.

I consider it the honor of a lifetime that I got to be Noah's "big brother" in our fraternity. Not only did that mean that I got to go show him off to other people, but it started a bond between us that was unbreakable. A bond I cherish so deeply. And a bond I am so heartbroken that it was taken from us far too soon. While I was the big brother, I looked up to Noah and his strength and optimism and considered him one of my heroes. Noah was a light in all of our lives that shined as bright as can be, and will continue to shine in everyone he touched.

Everything Noah did, he did with a smile on his face. He didn't want anyone to ever know his pain, his struggle or what was really going on. He didn't want anyone to ever spend one second worrying about him. He wanted them to live their life knowing he was ok and he was going to be ok. He cared that much about those close to him, and we can all learn from Noah what it really means to live every day to the fullest and what it means to be a friend. I know it mattered to him that I remember him the way he was before he got sick. And it would be a lot easier to do that if I ever saw any personality change after he was diagnosed. But I didn't. He never lost that smile.

We shared endless laughs together and had countless talks about our perspectives on life, girls, school and more. He acted as if every conversation we had was the most important part of his day. And I know he made so many others feel that way. He changed me for the better. He changed everyone for the better. 

I think about this quote from Maya Angelou when I think about Noah. “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” There has never been a more true statement about another person. Noah made everyone feel loved and I just wish I could tell him one more time how much he meant to me.

I met Noah when I was a sophomore at Michigan and he was first starting as a freshman. He came in and I remember this incredible passion and energy that was absolutely contagious. He is without exaggeration the kindest and most compassionate person I’ve ever met. I would be surprised if a single person ever had a negative interaction with him.

I am so honored to be his friend and am very grateful to have gotten to share some good times together. He taught us all so much about life, about happiness and about friendship. He never took a single moment for granted and always had that magnetic smile on his face. I know he is smiling down on us now too.

Noah had a presence about him that cannot be taught. His smile, energy, kindness and personality lit up every room. He made everyone feel like the most important person, even if he had just met you. His impact on you goes beyond measure. Even in his darkest moments and biggest battle, he never changed or altered who he was. This is the true character of any individual and Noah's was beyond remarkable. In his fight, he taught me so much. I will always admire, cherish and be thankful for his lessons. Every day, he showed us how to live life to the fullest and be a giver.  Noah will be remembered by many because what he instilled in all those that had the privilege of knowing him will be everlasting.

This picture was taken back in 2019, when Noah and I were at a Groove practice, a music group and family we shared. Coming in to college and Groove as an international student and newbie, I was not sure if I can find where I belong. But Noah was definitely one of the firsts that reached out to me and showed that race/cultural difference wouldn't be a barrier of a genuine and caring friendship. Until this day, I still reminisce the moments we talked about Fortnite, stole each other's hats, made weird faces, and had many deep conversations. Noah is such an amazing and beautiful big brother that is always that compassionate and that considerate. Thank you for believing in me and having me play in your last piece in Groove, and taught me how to dougie. Rest in peace brother, you'll always have an important piece in my heart and keep bringing laughter and warmth on the other side. All love.

You like some people immediately. That was certainly the case for me when I met Noah Shohet, but I think everyone Noah ever met would say that.

 There was truly nobody else like him. His personality was magnetic and warm. He was sincere in his every moment. He cared deeply for his friends, and he inspired them to pursue life with the same relentless passion, enthusiasm and positivity that came naturally to him.

I’m comforted by the fact that despite how I feel right now, I can’t think about Noah without seeing his smile and hearing him laugh. And I’ll be grateful to him forever for reminding me to smile more, laugh a little easier, and give the same love that Noah couldn’t help but give to everyone who crossed his path

I am fully convinced Noah Shohet was the kind of man you meet once in a lifetime. The unbridled joy he brought others, even as he travelled to hell and back, still baffles me. Not once did he succumb to dejection or self-pity. He was always thinking of those around him, far more concerned with our own comfort than his. He wanted us to know that no matter what he'd been through, he'd always be the same Noah. Let me tell you that truer words have never been spoken. To me, he seemed invincible.

There's only a handful of people in this world that can blend charisma, humor, charitability, and kindness the way Noah did. He and I had a friendship that grew steadily as the years passed. I remember visiting Ann Arbor a year after my graduation and realizing at the last minute that I had nowhere to stay. I sheepishly called Noah, asking him if he wouldn't mind if I crashed on his couch and apologizing profusely for reaching out practically 5 minutes from getting there. In typical fashion, he was overjoyed to have me. Apologies we not necessary; though we hadn't spoken much since I left, it didn't matter. We were - and are - brothers for life.

Since I heard the news of his passing, all I can think about is the time I won't get to spend with him, all the memories we could've made together. I'm going to miss him dearly. I only hope that, in his final days, he knew just how loved he was.

I consider it a blessing and an honor to have been buddies with Noah. Noah always radiated warmth and positivity, and made everyone around him happier. He was always the life of the party, and was truly loved everywhere he went. I don't think I have a single memory of Noah where he wasn't smiling.

Shohet, I'm going to miss you man. I'll always remember the good times we had from those nights up on north as freshmen to living in 1012 as seniors. I'll also always remember how great of a friend you were. I wish I had been better at keeping in touch more than anything right now. I'll see you again one day my brother, sour patch kids on me then.

I have been trying to think of how to describe my relationship with Noah, but it really is impossible to put something like this into words. Noah was truly special. I will never meet somebody like him again in my entire life. From the moment I met him he was warm, accepting, and really funny. Every time I spoke with him or was even around him, I was happy. He could light up a room. Not only have I never had a negative interaction with Noah but I have never seen him upset or angry in any way. His positivity was infectious 

His spirit was accompanied by an edge that's hard to wrap your finger around. Not only was Noah a nice guy, but he was a fun and exciting person to be around. He was somebody that you always wanted to spend more time with. 

Noah also carried with him an unwavering toughness. The cross he bore over the last few years was heavier than most people ever have to deal with. Despite this, his charisma and optimism was unshakeable. He told me when he was first diagnosed: "I will never be the sad kid with cancer". He never was. Even in his final days, he would tell me that things were getting a lot better and that he was excited to see me in July. I'll never forget Noah's impact on me and he was truly one of the greatest people I've ever known.

Noah introduced himself to me while I was a freshman and he was taking his year off from school. He heard that I was a musician, and he wanted to reach out to me to let me know he was, too. He asked me about my influences and insisted I listen to this or that artist. He told me would dust off his drum set for when he came back to campus. He had never met me, nor did he have incentive to welcome me into college the way he did, but he did nonetheless. Reading through what others have said about him has made me realize this was a far more common conversation for him than me. 

The impact he left on me is nothing less than profound. As echoed here by many, Noah had so much to teach all of us about positivity — especially in the face of true chaos. He never once approached life as if the deck was stacked against him; rather, he lived with a passion and a thankfulness that he was able to spend another day with us. He gave so much to our community, our music, and our friendship. 

Noah called me last year out of the blue to catch up and see how life was treating me. While I was occupied with work, money, and other day to day challenges, he filled our conversation with stories of music and dancing. It reminded me of how easily my own priorities could become misaligned if I let them. Especially in the news of his passing, that reminder has become one of the single most tangible changes anybody has ever left on my life. 

To his family, I want to echo what Harley has said below. We are a reflection of those who raised us, and I thank you for giving me a friend who changed my own life in the way that he did.

The words do not exist to truly describe how great of a man Noah was and his impact on the lives of the people around him. He may have only been a few months older than me, but I learned so much from Noah and am without a doubt a better person for having known him. His unwavering positivity and genuine zest for life was infectious. He would light up the room and is one of the kindest people I will ever know. 

Noah - you are one of the best friends I could ever have wished to have and there is not enough space on these pages to describe the amazing memories you have left me with. The 2 spontaneous Christmases in Punta Cana and London where I got to know your amazing family, our numerous shenanigans in college, and just hanging out together having long chats are a few of them that I will cherish. You were always so personally invested in my wellbeing and would inspire me to be a better person. I’m going to try to live my life with the same attitude and mindset that you lived yours, and if I manage to get even halfway there, I know I’ll be one of the happiest people on the planet. I am so grateful for having the privilege to know you and hope we get to meet again one day.

Noah's positivity and optimism were so strong you could feel it. It's hard to put into words, but when I was around Noah I physically felt different. My worries, doubts, and any negativity seemed to disappear, as feelings of joy took over. Noah's presence was something you could feel, and I doubt I will ever meet anyone that can induce as strong a positive emotion as Noah did.

During Noah's final year at UofM, I drove in from Detroit to visit him quite often. We chilled, we partied, we cooked, we brainstormed and chatted about life, and we gamed. It still blows my mind how much fun we had just sitting and playing Mario Kart for hours. Through this period of time, Noah taught me to slow down and enjoy life more.

Another key learning Noah drove home during this period was belief. At this point in time I was exploring an idea to build an app. Everyone I spoke to about my idea looked at me like I was crazy, and like I was sure to fail. Noah was the opposite. Not only did he exuberantly ask questions and brainstorm with me, he pushed me to go for it. He believed in me even before I believed in myself - I will never forget that. The venture did not end up being a "success", but it has served as a stepping stone full of learnings and growth, and one of the most valuable experience of my life. As wise young man - I think Noah saw this outcome for me before I did. Noah pushed and supported me to risk it and give it a shot not because he thought I would financially succeed, but because he knew it would help me grow. I wish I could thank him one more time for pushing me, and teaching me to believe.

I first met Noah at TVT in high school and we got to be on student council together. Noah was a leader. He was always so silly and light hearted, and at the same time was the person who would go out of his way to approach someone in the corner and make them feel welcome. 

Being a year older than Noah, during my freshman year at the University of Michigan Noah messaged me to let me know he’d be touring Michigan as a prospective school. I was so excited to see Noah at Michigan and to get to try to convince him to join me. In watching Noah make the decision to come to Michigan I noticed something very rare for an 18 year old boy: Noah really knew who he was. He knew what he wanted and what type of environment would help him to be his best and make the most out of life. He tried to get all of the information that he could when touring the school and took in his surroundings for everything that they were. Noah was sure of himself. 

When Noah got sick the first time around in college I remember having a chat with him about upcoming chemo. We talked about something fun he could do to his hair since he knew it would be gone soon. We floated the idea of a blue Mohawk around and he ran with it. Noah was someone who sought to experience all that life can offer. 

I wish I told Noah in the past few months how much he means to me and that I love him. I have for years looked up to Noah and will forever continue to. His spirit of fun, caring, confidence, and curiosity are inimitable. 

I am sending my deepest condolences to the Shohet family. Noah taught me so much about life and his positive impact on the world lives on. I will always remember Noah with his smiling face.

I’ve thought of you as an angel since the day you stepped into my life. You would drop anything to go on walk when I needed to vent, make us mochas in south quad when we needed to procrastinate or margs when we needed to prep for a Rick’s night, or just enjoy a cla/pup movie night so we could finally cross one off the list. You were committed to being the most reliable, enthusiastic, and devoted friend. Everyone wanted to be around you because you were the epitome of fun and always made everyone feel included. Your kindness and warmth was felt by all- just look below. To know you is to adore you. 

Your positivity was more than radiant. It was, and always will be, inspirational. Even during the toughest moments, you held a constant zest for life that couldn’t be matched. You were never angry. I don’t know how you did it, but I promise to try and put on my Noah lens when life gets hard. I think those are going to be the moments when I miss you most. I am so grateful to have had you as a best friend and I wish I told you a million times how meaningful our relationship is to me. You were an angel every day I’ve known you, and now, you’re our guardian angel forever. I love you pup, I can’t wait for you to make me the world’s best/worst mocha when we meet again.

Noah was just a great guy. I loved talking to him about music. We knew the same Weezer songs and just liked a lot of the same bands. These memories mean a lot because just talking to Noah could turn my day around! He could drum, play guitar, and JAM! Oh, and he could do magic. The first time I ever met him, I saw him do a magic trick. And it's like just these past couple of days I'm learning more about him, like that he played SOCCER!! Anyway, none of that surprises me. Noah could fit in and have fun no matter what he was doing or who he was with.

The entire time I've known him he was battling cancer, and I never knew how serious it was. I never saw anything but smiles and positivity. I think what he wanted most was for everyone to just have a great time. It had nothing to do with what people thought of him, he took no issue with goofing around and being a fool just to spread the joy. But I don't know, I can't speak to his intentions. I regret not getting to know him on a deeper level, but I'm happy I got to know him at all. 

Noah, you'll be missed. Thank you and rest easy :)

I first met Noah as a transfer when I had just gotten to Michigan. He was one of my first friends and within minutes of meeting him he became someone I always wanted to be around. Scared and anxious about making such a big change, I immediately felt comfort in having Noah always one door down the hall. He lit up a room with his energy, singing, guitar playing, and sense of humor. He had such a positive outlook on life and never let anything bring him down. He left such a positive impact on everyone he knew and made everyone feel important. I wish I had gotten to spend more time with him. Rest easy Noah ❤️

Noah’s smile and laughter was contagious wherever he went. He brought good vibes to every situation, even during the really rough times. He taught me how to appreciate life and live each day to the fullest. He was the best friend any one could ask for and the most caring stranger anyone could have had the pleasure of meeting. He always knew how to make the crowd go wild with laughter whether it be going above and beyond on cinco de Mayo, showing up to a Halloween party in his orange morph suit (that was the costume) or jumping around the alpha sig tailgate house with a Batman mask on his face. He was the life of the party and the center of attention always. He could find out the life story of a stranger just from a two minute conversation in an elevator. 

Felice, Jack and Sarina, you were the best support system Noah could have ever had. Jack and Felice, Noah looked up to you in every way and wanted to become a doctor in your footsteps. Sarina, Noah was so proud of the activist you were and always bragged about how smart his little sister was. When you and your mom ran the San Francisco marathon in his honor, he was never more proud. He was so lucky to have such an amazing family. 

I hope he’s eating lots of watermelon, playing his guitar and drums rocking out to Sublime, admiring the lightening from above, and relaxing on a beach speaking Spanish somewhere warm with the locals. I know that his dream was to save lives but he had already touched more lives than most people do in a lifetime. 🍉 ⚡️🎸🥁🏖

Noah had a positive and enthusiastic energy that could not be matched. I first met him during my sophomore year at Michigan when we were neighbors at Landmark. We instantly developed a close-knit friendship, to no surprise given Noah’s warm, kind, and friendly nature. He always had a huge smile on his face and put a smile on mine or could make me laugh in an instant. Any time I spent with him brightened my day. 

Over the next couple of years after living next door to one another, Noah went out of his way to check in and expressed genuine interest in catching up and knowing what was going on in my life. He was a devoted friend who gave an ear to listen, the best advice, and made others feel like they were the most special person in the room. And as always, our  conversations would end with us smiling. I feel so grateful to have had him as a friend and will forever cherish all of the incredible memories that we made together. He was a bright light in this world who had an immensely positive impact on those around him. He will forever be remembered and missed.

 I had the privilege of meeting Noah in organic chemistry class. The first time I met him, he was eating an orange. Even though I was a complete stranger, he looked back and offered me a slice. I was immediately drawn to his positive energy and kind spirit, and wanted to be his friend. 

That was Noah. He’s the kind of guy that you meet and you just want to spend more time with him because he makes you happy. He constantly makes those around him feel important and brings a little positivity to everyone’s days.

During my senior year of college, I got really close with Noah. Truthfully I had the world’s biggest crush on him because how could you not?!

Each time I was with Noah, I felt like I left as a better person. He had a way of bringing out the best in people, which I will cherish forever. Although he was dealing with insurmountable struggles, he never dwelled on them. He was more eager to hear about the experiences of others. His upbeat attitude lit up any room, no matter his personal struggles.

Noah truly was one of the most pure-hearted, loving people I have ever met. I hope to hold a little bit of Noah’s positive energy inside of me and to honor his memory forever. 

Words cannot describe how special Noah is, and my heart aches for his close friends and family. Sending so much love and some of Noah’s positive energy your way.

I miss Noah so much already. Whenever I would go to Michigan to visit Ari our senior year, I was always just as excited to see Noah and spend the entire weekend together as the happiest little roommate family. Noah would greet me with open arms and the biggest smile, and just being in his presence made everything better. He was always willing to have a deep conversation about life and relationships, and immediately switch gears to laughing at Family Guy. He never ceased to inspire me with his optimism and he was truly wise beyond his years.

I miss jamming out to Sublime together, him sounding out "What I Got" on guitar (a video which I will never forgive myself for not saving) while I sang along. I miss his enthusiasm for his comics that he would print out and hang on his wall. I miss the smell of his incense coming from his room, a constant reminder that he was right next door and chilling out as he deserved to do, given the immense struggles he had to face.

Noah was always so creative and quirky, and above all, unapologetically himself. There was not a single person out there who didn't truly love him. He was larger than life and has forever made his mark on each and every one of us. It is heartbreaking to imagine the pain he was in and I hope that he is resting easy now.

To Noah's family - I am terribly sorry for your loss. I hope that this collection of memories serves as a comfort to you all during this tragic time. Noah was all of these things and more, and his legacy will never cease to live on through all of those who loved him. Z"L may his memory be a blessing.

6 life lessons I learned from Noah: 
#1 You can never make your turkey chili too spicy. It’s also the most delicious dinner you can make for under $10.
#2 Don’t let a bum knee stop you from doing liners in the gym.
#3 The Royal beach hotel the has the best pool in Tel Aviv.
#4 Don’t be so critical of your golf swing, however bad it may be.
#5 Bad Fish is the best song to play on the guitar.
#6 Be true to yourself. One thing that has become abundantly clear since Noah’s passing, is how many lives he affected for the better. Noah was always uniquely Noah, and by being so kind, confident, and self-assured of the unique person that he was, he gave others the permission to be more comfortable in their own skin. I think that is one of the best gifts you can give someone.

Noah is one of those people that makes you feel like you must have done something right for him to have been brought into your life.  We met freshman year in Spanish class and, despite my less-than-stellar Spanish abilities, it quickly became my favorite class.  Noah brought life into every room that he walked into.  Even our professor seemed to have a sweet spot for him.  I was always impressed by his ability to bring people together and make everyone feel at ease.  His personality was infectious and you couldn't help but smile whenever he was around.  

To Noah's family - thank you for blessing us with such an amazing person.  Noah made the world a better place simply by existing in it.  In life and in death, he pushed us to be better versions of ourselves.  There really are no words to describe how much he'll be missed, but we all feel incredibly fortunate to have met him.  May his memory be a blessing.  

I met noah when he came to Israel and me and my family got the great opportunity to host him in our house for a week. He immediately became a part of the house. He brought so much joy and happiness. After a year he host me in the u.s and made my experience more than wonderful. 
He was the sweetest, smartest, funniest ,genuine and happiest person I have ever met and I am grateful that I had the chance to call him my friend. 

I met Noah in middle school and I played soccer with his sister Serena. Middle school was unkind to most of us, but Noah didn’t have an unkind bone in his body. He never met a stranger and always had a positive outlook on life. I’m so grateful to have seen his hope and kindness in such a difficult time in my life. I’ll always remember Noah. 

I am so grateful to have met Noah during our freshman year because he was in my Spanish class. I honestly didn’t  learn anything the entire semester because I was too busy jajaja-ing with Noah and our friend, Emily.

 Noah was the best kind of guy. Thoughtful, honorable, quick with a joke and smile, and had the best laugh. If I saw him at skeeps, I’d always make a bee line for him because he was just great company. I’ll always miss mi amigo. My thoughts are with Noah’s loved ones 

I met Noah years ago during his freshman year at Michigan when he was what I believe was forced into being a coordinator during Greek Week with our sorority, although he never acted like it wasn't something he was absolutely honored to do. I specifically was the head of the variety (aka dance) portion and Noah was such a wonderful person to work with. He took learning the dance so seriously, which was always appreciated and honestly adorable but also brought a sense of humor to every practice. I never imagined we would get along so well and I loved being his dance partner. He was so chill about everything and always kind and supportive of everyone on the team. His smile and humor will never be forgotten.  The next year when he had to take a leave from Michigan, I shot him a text during Greek Week to reminisce on our time together. Even then, he was so kind, telling me he hoped he'd see me soon, letting me know we should catch up when he got back, and even thanking me for texting him. I only had short and small moments with Noah but they were all just so wonderful. When I just saw he passed on Facebook, I was devasted for his friends and family and just wanted to share what an incredible person he was to everyone he met, even for just a small amount of time, like me.  I attached a fun photo I had of him from our performance together.  Wishing you all peace in this difficult time.

Noah was such an incredible friend! Even after years of not seeing each other, it felt like you could pick up right where you left off, and I know he gave everyone that feeling to everyone.

He took care of his friends, no matter if they were close or distant. He always wanted to have a good time and we would all feed off of his awesome positive energy.

His passing is going to be felt by so, so many. 

And man could he talk! What a brilliant and charming guy he was, always with a smile on his face and something interesting to talk about. You could go on for hours with him.

Even though the last time I saw Noah was in middle school Hebrew class, I still remember him fondly. I don’t think I ever told him/your family, but he was my first crush. On the way to a 5th grade trip to Sacramento when we were both at the Hebrew Academy, we shared ear buds and listened to music together in the back of my family’s minivan as my mom, Felice, Noah and I drove up with all of the snacks and some of the luggage all the way to Sacramento. He was such a sweet and funny kid, and that memory is really special to me.

It's been years since I have even seen or thought about Noah and I highly  wish I could change that. He was one of my closest friends back in middle school and provided the lively energy needed for that dreadful PE class. He was always entertaining especially when he performed in the McAuliffe School Play. I saw the posting on Facebook about his passing and my heart sank knowing he was taken too early and had to suffer a terrible battle. Condolences to the Shohet family and thank you Noah for being a great friend. May he rest in peace. 

I first met Noah my freshman year at Michigan and I remember him as being one of the nicest and most genuine people I had met. He took a real interest in me and the rest of the guys in the freshman class and was always asking how classes were and about the things we had going on in our lives. He was such a kind and positive person and I feel blessed for being able to get to know him during my time at Michigan. Rest easy, my friend.

I met Noah right when I got to Michigan but it wasn’t until we were living together that we really got close. He was such a constant positive presence and made our apartment a place that felt like home. There really was nothing better than walking into the door after a long day and hearing him practicing guitar on the couch. Even when things got tough over the years, he kept his smile and made sure to check in on everyone else. It’s that kind of genuine compassion that inspires me to be a better person. He was a light in all of our lives and will be truly missed.

I just found these beautiful words in my text messages with Noah. When my childhood  friend got diagnosed with cancer, I turned to Noah as a source of support. I asked him if he remembered anything specific that people did for him when he was getting diagnosed that made him feel really good. These words embody his spirit and I wanted to share a snippet of this conversation. 

“Oh for sure. Lemme think about it cause there were obviously a lot of factors that helped. I’m trying to think specifically what my friends did
Honestly. The most impactful thing to me was just how my friends treated me. They treated me exactly the same as always. Never acted like they felt bad for me so I couldn’t ever feel bad for myself. They still teased me like always and pushed me to have fun and continue to do the things I always did. If I didn’t have chemo that day or the day before then it wasn’t a good enough excuse for anything
But obviously not everyone is like me. Some people need others to be more sensitive to them. Another thing is to make an effort to see them. Even if they’re just laying in bed or doing nothing. Having friends around me all the time helped distract me from the tough parts. 
Also it’s important to be relentlessly positive and to talk about things you’re looking forward to. I know some cancer patients get really fixated on the present so it’s important to remember that cancer is just a temporary road bump and it’ll make all the good times in the future feel that much better and well earned 
Also if she’s feeling really anxious or just alone or something you can feel free to give her my number. :)

One of my favorite memories with Noah was when we were stranded together in the Detroit airport after our flight had been delayed late at night. Amid a crowd of people complaining about the situation, I’ll never forget seeing Noah snacking on a giant cup of watermelon he somehow found in a closed down airport, relaxing as if nothing had gone wrong. 

Noah was someone who made the best of every situation, and made those around him feel special by association. I will miss hearing his laugh and seeing his smile light up a room. 

I wanted to share this picture my brother had sent me of Noah on his 25th birthday in Mexico City. Hope you’re enjoying many more patio breakfasts overlooking new cities to explore.

I always remember Noah being incredibly nice and friendly to me as I was starting school. Even though he was a few grades above me, I remember seeing him at tailgates and him making an effort to talk to me. He would  always ask about how I was navigating college, and extend a wide eyed grin when I'd tell a story or complain about friends or classes. It's not typical that someone would care enough to talk to a freshman first semester and be so warm and friendly. I will never forget the kindness and affability he brought to our conversations. I would always walk away feeling better about myself and my situation at school when we spoke. Even though we were not incredibly close in age or friendship, Noah had the quality of making everyone feel special. I am so deeply saddened to hear about his passing, and he will be missed greatly by the many people he touched throughout his life.

Noah was the most positive, kind, considerate friend. He always made me feel at ease and supported, entertained and joyful, listened to and cared about. Noah always had an open invitation to our apartments and house on Oakland. We all absolutely loved having him around, where his banter, laughter, humor, and positivity would radiate through our home. 

I so fondly remember senior year when Sarah and I heard about an upcoming women's gymnastics meet, a Michigan sporting event we had always wanted to attend. Pretty much right after finding out about this meet, we invited Noah to see if he'd like to join us. Although I'm pretty sure we hadn't spoken about being particularly avid gymnastics fans before that very moment, we knew this type of spontaneous, Michigan/bucket list experience was right up his alley because that's just the kind of person and friend he was. Just as we anticipated, he was eager to attend and was the most enthusiastic co-spectator and Wolverine cheerleader. I cherish that night so much, along with all the wonderful times we spent together. Noah was so very special.

I’ve never met someone quite like Noah.  It’s hard to pick which superlatives to even use. Certainly, kindness, thoughtfulness, humor, and intelligence are words which come to mind, but truly there was something ineffable about the way Noah made everyone around him feel. 

Noah was my grand-big, but that doesn’t even describe half of what he meant to me and the rest of our lineage. Over the last few days, I’ve spent time reflecting on my relationship with Noah, and reading this message board has been a form of solace. I’ve rekindled friendships which have faded over the last few years, recalling and reminiscing on all of the special moments with Noah. Whether it was sharing “l’chaims” (shots of whiskey) at an orthodox family’s Shabbat festivities, riding electric scooters, treating ourselves to Indian food, listening to music, walking through campus,  practicing Spanish over FaceTime while I was studying in Argentina, listening to his latest girl problems, or pestering him to let me borrow his ID to get into Skeeps, moments with Noah were never dull, always filled with laughter, and always left you smiling. 

To Felice, Jack, and Sarina: I hope you know that Noah was a light to everyone he met. His joy and optimism contagious. And, above all, Noah never let on that anything was less than perfect. He loved you all, he loved his life, and he made the most of every second. 

To Ari, Andrew, Tyler, Alex and the rest of the lin: Drinks on me next time we’re together in celebration of Noah, just as he’d want it

And to Noah: Thank you for all that you gave to me, your friends, and your family. Thank you for welcoming me into college and helping me no matter the problem. Thank you for your positivity, compassion, and empathy. May your memory be a blessing.

When I think of Noah, my heart is full of joy. Noah was one of the most uplifting and positive people I have ever known. His smile was contagious, and his energy, passion, and grit was -- and remains -- an inspiration. I have so many fond memories with Noah at Michigan, but as I think back on our times together, I don’t remember everything we did, but I do remember how I felt in every moment with him… happy. He brought out the best in everyone, including me, and made us all feel good, appreciated, and heard – all while having the best time!
 
Although we had far too little time together, I feel so lucky to have had the honor of knowing, loving, and being friends with Noah. We can’t choose what life gives us, but we can choose how we deal with it, and to honor Noah I hope to emulate his positivity, perspective, and calmness when life gets tough. Noah was one of a kind and he will be missed dearly. May his memory be a blessing.

Noah was such an incredible person. I was extremely lucky to live with Noah during my junior year where we became really close friends. Noah was always willing to do anything. There was really nothing that held Noah back. Whether it was hanging out in our apartment, listening to him playing guitar, chatting on the couch or going to Shabbat dinners, Noah was the best person to be with. I always knew it was going to be fun if I was with Noah. 

Noah had this ability to light up any room he was in with immense amounts of joy. It amazed me that despite his struggles, he always was the happiest and most energetic person to be around. The strength that Noah showed throughout his struggles was truly incredible. I hope to one day be able to live the way Noah did with so much happiness and a love for life. It was truly a blessing to have known Noah and I am so grateful to have been close friends.

I think there are people whose purpose on earth is positively impacting those around them. Noah was one of those people.

Every interaction with him left me smiling. I feel so lucky I got to spend more time with Noah my senior year. We would speak drunk spanish and I thought his taco socks were the coolest socks on earth. I remember seeing him in his element at a groove show. I always just admired how comfortable he was being him. Something so many of us struggle with is just being ourselves. 

Noah, everyday when I wake up on the wrong side of the bed, get annoyed by something small, or question the beauty of life I promise I’ll think of you. I’ll think of your positive energy, your desire to help others, and the impact you have had on so many. 

I feel grateful to have known you and the amazing person you are.

I know Noah from high school. Out of all of the people I knew during those years and all of the ups and downs, Noah was one of the few that always seemed be a steady source of kindness, positivity, and warmth. We were on the golf team together and I enjoyed my time with him deeply. He made a fun game more fun, and a frustrating game seem like the best time. Always something to smile and laugh about. Looking back, Noah’s friendship, even if mostly within school hours, was one of the best I had known. It seemed almost too good to be true, how warmly Noah would always greet you, but, it was in fact genuine. 

One of the things I admired and learned so much about from Noah was humanity. Noah didn’t belong to one “friend group” or sport or hobby. Noah just lived and enjoyed anything and anyone that he could. 

I am glad to have known him and he will live on through all of us. I cherish my time with you and who you are Noah, and am sending love to you and your family.

We want to extend our deepest sympathies on the loss of Noah, who although we never met, clearly was an incredible individual.  I’ve asked about him over the years and was really saddened to hear of his diagnosis.  His strength and resilience during the fighting of his illness seemed to be paramount.  

In reading through the comments, I found it striking that he could connect with others easily and affect them deeply.  Every image I see of him (in photos and descriptions) is of a kind and beautiful soul with a huge smile.  I am so sorry for your loss and please know that I am thinking of you all.

When I met Noah at Michigan, I was drawn to his bubbly personality and optimistic view of the world. Interested in medicine myself, I was so impressed that first semester he was already taking organic chemistry. Those of us lucky enough to have been stuck in the Northwood dorm bonded over the bus rides and formed lasting friendships. Noah always made the most of any situation and shared his thoughts candidly. We remained close even while he was gone for a year and I was inspired to join the school board for Relay for Life. When Noah returned with the most amazing outlook, he helped me take advantage of my dining hall meal plan, made me feel so welcome at all the Alpha Sig tailgates and was an incredible partner in crime at a formal. I visited Noah at Michigan his senior year and we had so much fun. Before his procedure at MD Anderson, I drove from Dallas to spend some time with him. We had amazing Mexican food and passed by a boisterous place called the “Turkey Leg” which Noah said looked “bumping”. We got to explore Houston’s bar and dance scene and check out some museums. We bonded over our love for Spanish, when I was in Madrid I kept telling him about the places I went and sending pics. I was so happy he was able to live there for a while and even get to enjoy some of my recommendations. I loved playing guitar with him, he was so talented and much more dedicated to it than I ever was. I was so excited to hear every detail of his Mexico City trip since he got to give me all the travel recommendations. I hadn’t heard from him in the last few days and I am so heartbroken to hear of his passing. Noah’s light will be missed by so many. I’ll always love him. His passion for life keeps me going and is a driving force for my pursuit of a specialty in medical oncology. I am so sorry for your loss and pain. I hope he’s jamming out with Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix:) 

When I think of Noah, my mind goes back to a giggling baby, perhaps 7 or 8 months old, with a gleam in his eye. He’s sitting in a baby pool filled with some kind of food...it might have been cooked spaghetti. We’re at the J, the old building, moms with new little ones, watching them as they discover the world around them in all of its messy glory. Noah grabbed onto everything around him that day, just as he always would...and that’s what I will remember about him. I’m going to look for that picture and share it with you Felice, Jack, and Sarina. What a precious boy. With so much love, Linda Keiles

In all my years of teaching, I have never met anyone like Noah.  I was so privileged to teach him when he was in the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.  I was also lucky enough to travel to Israel with him and his friends.  I remember sitting on top of Masada right before the sunrise with Noah singing Debbie Freidman's version of "L'chi Lach" and how excited he became when I told him that that was the song I walked down the isle to at my wedding.  He was sooo sweet!  Noah's upbeat personality made everyone around him smile and happy.  He was one of a kind and certainly left a lasting legacy during his 25 years.  I am so blessed to have known Noah and will always remember him.

May Hashem comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Noah was my student at Hebrew Academy. I remember him as a kind, generous boy. He always shared with others, he always had a smile on his face. He was a gentle boy with a good heart, and he was always positive.  He was an excellent friend and loved by his peers.  This was incredibly difficult news to hear, and it saddened me deeply.

Noah was one of my first friends at Michigan. We shared so many laughs, stayed up late talking about life and watching Disney movies, and I always loved seeing what crazy pair of socks he was wearing. I’ll never forget picking on him for calling every type of soda a “coke” and for his love of nerdy video games. I am forever grateful for our friendship, his smile was truly contagious. Noah loved and lived life with every ounce of his being,

Whenever I think of Noah, it’s with him having a big smile on his face or laughing. His smile could light up a room. The time our families spent in Kauai was precious and will always be a favorite vacation for me.

When I met Noah, he had an infectious smile and a heartwarming soul that made you feel like you had known him forever. He was a great person, inside and out who blessed this world every day. From rooming together for Maccabi in middle school, to producing a short film in high school to feeling better hearing his laugh every day in between, Noah was always a great person that made those around him greater. I will forever cherish the times we had together.

I have few but wonderful memories of Noah, what is for ever in my mind is what a cool and kind young man he always was. He will be missed by all who knew him.

During this time of grief, I'm going to share  my early memories of a young man who always did things his way - including arriving to the world in time for his own baby shower!  Felice and I walked our Nashville neighborhood regularly while pregnant and shared our excitement to become new mommies within weeks of each other.  Noah showed up a month after his first buddy Alex was born, and the new parents and new babies learned a lot from each other. We had a lot of fun getting to know these two little boys!

Noah was one of the sweetest, most positive souls I have had the pleasure of knowing. We met while attending the University of Michigan School of Public Health and he was such a bright light every single day. I will always remember him and his zest for life. To Noah's family, my deepest sympathies for your loss. Noah will be so missed.
