Margaret (Peggy) Barbara Metkovich, 98, of Fountain Valley, CA passed away peacefully at home, September 29, 2018 at 2:40 PM. She will be laid to rest Saturday, October 6th at 11:00 AM in a private service at El Toro Memorial Park, Lake Forest, CA.
Peggy Metkovich was born January 5th, 1920 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. In later years her family moved to the United States. She attended Fremont High School in Los Angeles, CA where she met her future husband, George Metkovich. George went on to play professional baseball and they lived a charmed life together in both Los Angeles and Orange County.
She is preceded in death by her husband George Metkovich, her brother Jim Morrison, and her nephew Jimmy Morrison.
Peggy is survived by her sons George (Bethany) Metkovich and Dave (Fran) Metkovich, her grandchildren Michael, Ryan, Matthew, and Devon Metkovich, as well as her great grandchildren Brodi and Cash Metkovich, all of Costa Mesa, CA.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Junior Blind or St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
