I kept my notifications on.  With the fast paced nature of our lives it's important to me to stop and remember such an important person.  I wouldn't be where I am or who I am without you Uncle Tom. So, I'm going to commit to posting a memory here every year.

This year, I'm remembering how much I looked forward to throwing any type of ball across the street with you.  Even after I was well into my 30s, I still looked forward to it. It was an unofficial tradition at every holiday.  We'd just toss a ball back and forth, laugh at all the mistakes we'd make, and pretend we were far better than we actually were at it. Truly one of my favorite things to do.

I miss you, dude.  You held a lot of things together and holidays feel kind of scattered and disjointed without you around.  I miss a lot of things, but this year it's gonna be our half-assed, Olympic showcase that takes the prize.

Just a couple of badasses on the LA streets 😎

I owe a lot of who I am to my Uncle Tom.  During some severely trying times in my childhood, Tommy was always there to provide levity to the tough stuff, while bringing humor, fun, and a sense of whimsy to the table.  Some of my favorite memories will be of he and I going back and forth at the dinner table and making my Grandmother laugh.  Not just a mild chuckle, but quite literally bringing her to tears with laughter.  Tommy taught me to find the humor in difficult situations, and was always kind.  I cannot believe it has been a year.  If you are reading this, it probably means that Tommy touched your life too, and for that, you should consider yourself lucky.  He was truly one-of-a-kind, and if I can be half the Uncle to Zeke that Tommy  was to me, I'll consider that to be a great success.  Miss you, dude.

    Remember Crystal Cove? That was one of the most beautiful days ever! Tommy I miss you so much, words cannot describe how I feel living in this world without you. I love you forever and ever.  

We were golfing with Tommy when he shot BOTH hole in ones on Mesa Linda!
The one on 17 was the most amazing bc it was a blue flag, way back on the shoulder behind the sand trap. The other player with us made a similar approach shot, but dribbled into the trap. We all went up to find Tommy’s ball,  thinking he was also in the trap, but NO!! His was in the HOLE!

Tommy was one of my favorite people to be around. He had that ability to connect. Fun times discussing who the best rock drummer was or wondering if he was going to show up to play softball or if we would not have a shortstop that night. His ability to connect was on another level from anyone else I know. I will miss him but certainly can feel the impact he had on his friends and family and am forever grateful for knowing him.
