Valentina passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by her loving family in Fountain Valley, California. Born in Russia in 1939, Valentina built a life defined by love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She was a cherished mother to Olga and mother-in-law to Vladimir. A loving grandmother to Eugene and Anton. But perhaps her greatest joy came from her role as great-grandmother to Anastasia, Miles, and Audriana. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her great-grandchildren, whose laughter and energy filled her heart with pride.
Valentina was known for her warm spirit, her spunky and optimistic outlook on life, and her incredible cooking, especially her pelmeni, a family tradition that will now be lovingly carried on. She never let a loved one leave her home without a full heart, a warm meal, and often a folded $50 bill she would slip into her grandchildren's hands "just because".
She believed deeply in the power of family, always reminding those around her not to stress-because everything always works out in the end. Her wisdom, kindness, and strength touched all who knew her. Valentina's legacy lives on in the traditions she passed down, the meals she lovingly prepared, and the family she held so close. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A private service will be held with close family and friends. In honor of Valentina, the family encourages everyone to share a meal with loved ones and to hold those you love a little closer, just as she would have wanted.
