Bill grew up in Orange County, California, where he attended Lowell High School, graduating in 1978. Bill received his B.A. in Business/Marketing from California State University, Fullerton in 1982 and his M.B.A. in Human Resource Management from Ashford University in 2019.
He loved working for T-Mobile as a Human Resources Business Partner for the last 7 years. He was known and admired by his colleagues for always being kind, cheerful, a good listener, and a problem solver. And, he was definitely known for his keen sense of humor and his ability to always find the silver lining.
Bill loved to learn. He could always be found watching a documentary on the History Channel or answering questions on Jeopardy. His passions were very diverse and include the Las Vegas Raiders, Jimmy Buffett, Broadway shows, sailing/cruising, playing poker, and drinking scotch. Bill enjoyed entertaining and used his smoker to make delicious meats, fish, and cheese that were loved by everyone.
Bill enjoyed performing in both high school and community theatre and met his wife of almost 32 years, Lynne, when they were in Little Mary Sunshine at La Habra Community Theatre in 1985 (Lynne was Little Mary and Bill was her lecherous Uncle Oscar). Bill’s children inherited their parents’ love of the theatre. He was a very proud father and could always be found at the theatre either working the lights or sound or out in the audience cheering, when either of his children were performing in a show.
Bill was an active member of Temple Beth Sholom in Santa Ana for over 33 years, and was always willing to volunteer, whether it was as a bingo caller, an actor in the Purim Spiel, hosting a wine tasting event, or working on the Finance Committee.
Bill is survived by his wife, Lynne, his daughter, Devyn, his son, Matthew, and sister, Patricia. Bill's extended family includes his aunt, Raven Harris, sisters-in-law Allison and husband Sandy Weisman, and Teri and husband Rich Horowitz, and Bill's nephews and nieces Donnie, Beth, Neil, Steven, Jeffrey, and Kristy. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew him, as he was truly one-of-a-kind.
