1922-2011
Sadly we announce the passing of Bernice on April 13, 2011. She died peacefully in St. Joseph’s Hospital with family by her side. She was so loved by her daughters, Joanne Ross (Keith) and Margaret Kelly and greatly missed by many friends and relatives.
Bernice was born in Victoria, but came to Comox in 1940 to work, and she loved the valley.
In 1942, she went to Ste Anne De Belevue, Quebec, as an instructor, and served in the armed forces for two years.
1944 saw her return to Victoria where she married John Patrick Kelly and raised three children: Joanne, Margaret and John Edward. After a few years of working in the Okanagan Bernice returned to Comox and from 1994 until she died she loved her life in Comox. She got such pleasure from her family and friends and her red scooter!
A small celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 25th at Margaret’s, #209-2181 Comox, Ave. from 2 until 4 pm and all friends are welcome.
At Mom’s request there will not be a service.
