Remember the Cuda days after high school. Fun times! After moving to Port Hardy used to run into Chuck when we was boat hauling in our neck of the woods. Always a good but quick chat! He will b missed!!!!!! Jim Witton

Ike Fortais - I grew up with Chuck in Timmons Ontario. We were great buddies then and until the end. I loved him then, always and now. I will miss him dearly but i know he is at peace with Dylan now. We love you both and miss you guys. Till we meet again, rest in peace and know we miss you every day dearly. God bless you both with all my heart and take care of Dylan.

Heartfelt condolences to all of Chuck's family and friends. He was a great guy and a heck of a boat mover. He had a great sense of humour and was a straight shooter no bs kind of a guy. Lots of character. He will be missed. R.I.P. my friend.

I remember when chuck had moved out of the house on erickson and lived right across from the beach. I came down to visit from aport Alberni and carly was there. We proceeded to haul the coolers full of beer and all thw supplies accross to the beach chainsaw in tow. It was late july or august and tourist season in full swing. Needless to say, cousin chick fired up the chainsaw and bucked up some much needed driftwood to the horror of the flocks of tourists. We built a nice big respectable red neck bonfire and proceeded to enjoy the view, telling stories and reflecting on life. That was such a great day and we stayed there watching the cruise ships  float by until the sun came up. That night and carly can attest to this, Chuck ended up fighting his reflection in the mirror because he thought someone had broke into his house! 😀 my cousin was a unique character, stubborn, opinionated, and it was easy to get him going - just bring up trudeau. We had so many good times together watching carly and dillan grow up and hanging at upper campbell. He was a big softy with a big hart and a tough exterior. Love you cuz and you will be mossed but never forgotten. 

Chuck had a major impact on my childhood. I’ll never forget the great times at Upper Campbell Lake fishing, ATVing and playing with Carly and Dylan. He truly was one of a kind and always had me laughing. I enjoyed seeing him at my dad’s shop over the years for a good chuckle. His ability to live life on his own terms and not care about what anyone thought was so inspiring.

Thinking of Carly and family at this difficult time. You will be missed dearly Chuck, hope you are enjoying heaven with Dylan.

When I first met Chuck back in 2014, him and I immediately got along. He reminded me alot of my own dad and he was also just like Carly...... stubborn, loud, and doesn't give a damn what anyone thought of him, so that certainly helped! We met when we all came to the Island for Justin and Carlys wedding, I've never seen a dad more excited for his daughter's big day and want to just help with all that he could! He was always such a busy guy but one thing he always made sure of, was he was going to be there for all the big milestones in his daughter's life. Including being a part of his grandson linkins life, even living so far away from one another. Linkin will always know the love his grandfather had for him cause we will be sure to always remind him.  Chuck was such a kind man but he could also be stubborn when he needed and he was never afraid to show all sides of Chuck. You get one, you get them all. And I think that was my favorite part, he was very real and if he said he was going to do something, he did it if it was in his wheelhouse. We have a few good memories with Chuck mostly just hanging out with family and friends, talking about the crap life hands us and telling jokes often. But then being serious when needed to be. He invited myself and Gerald into his home for a couple of weeks back in 2015 when we came for another visit. He had open arms, cupboards and fridge full of food, if we needed a car, it was ours, needed some cash? Sure, anything we needed. We could call Chuck and he would be there. He showed my best friend what it meant to be a great supportive parent through some really crappy times in their lives especially this past year and always made such an amazing effort to be there for Carly Justin and his grandson Linkin when they needed him. But I know that he will never leave their side, he may be gone and up in the stars but he is always with us. Rest Easy Papa Chuck ❤ we miss you so much! 

"Uncle" Chuck was a fabulous father who went above and beyond for his kids.  He made sure that his children always had quality time with him: Whether it be going quadding, or down to a bonfire in the back yard with a weiner roast. He never was really my blood relative but he sure made it feel like we were. I will never forget the good days with uncle Chuck and Dylan and Carly. They hold a special place in my heart. The photo I have attached is of me and two beautiful angels; Dylan and Chuck.  Heaven gained another angel the day Chuck passed, there was rolling thunder in the sky. I like to think that was him and Dylan ripping off on their quads in heaven. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be dearly missed.

Anyone that really knew Chuck, knew how much of a teddy bear he was on the inside. Tuff  man exterior lol. But the day he became a Grandfather changed that. If you wanted to see that man melt, you asked or talked to him about his grandson Linkin.  Then he would pull out his phone, and  show you  millions of pictures. That little man was the light of his life.

A man with a huge, kind heart. He loved nature so much that he'd actually warm up the hummingbird feeders in the morning and buy horse cob to feed the deer on his property. Just a fantastic guy all the away around.  Type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back to help you out. He will be missed dearly. My friend!
