Coreen Edna Bannister

Predeceased by her cherished and beloved husband Richard “Dick” Bannister. Loving mother of Marleen Richardson (Tom), and Lyle Williams (Michelle). Loved grandmother of Marnie, Dane (Jenni), Zachery, Dylan, and Lillia. Cherished sister of Betty Vanni and sister-in-law of Lucille Yole. Predeceased by her sister Mary Matthews (November 2009), and by her brothers Wilfred Yole (November 2022), Matthew Yole (September 2022), and Henry Yole (September 2011). Will be fondly remembered and missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, the Bannister family and many friends. The family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the Doctors and Nurses of Ward 3B of the North Island Hospital, Comox Valley for their compassion and care shown to Coreen.

A private family graveside gathering will be held at the Royal Oak Burial Park, Victoria, where she will be buried beside her parents Walter & Edna Yole. A celebration of life to honour Coreen will be held in the lower lounge of the Courtenay Legion, on Sunday June 4th from 1-3pm, please wear colourful clothing as Coreen loved wearing colourful and cheery outfits.

As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Coreen may be made to the Courtenay Legion “Poppy Fund” or to the North Island Hospital, Comox Valley.
