My heart and thoughts are prayers are with you Suzanne and family. Gosh I remember this early years when you were a kid coming to the office. I remember when your mom met Bill, he was the gentleman who cherished her. She deserved to be loved so well. Your mom was so proud of everything you did. I had seen them together years ago. We had a wonderful catch up and planned to get together. Sadly that never happened. We adopted two little girls after our kids grew up so our life was busy. Sending all out love. Those days of Diane’s world travel were some of the best. She was a gift to many and my favourite kiwi to this day and i can say Maori with the perfect accent. Take care, love to Bill’s family as well, he spoke so fondly of them. They are together loly gagging, watching the ocean and enjoying a cup of tea. The house on Pt Holmes will always be I remember. Wind swept. Blessing to you all. Colleen.

I miss you so much mum! A beautiful memory we had was when we both went to San Francisco in the Early 80s and walked along the pier near the ferry to Sosolito and munched on Sourdough bread and watched the Pelicans.

Diane and my father were in love.
They were in love till he died.
I know she always missed him.
They are together now.
A happy ending.

Dianne was a quiet soul, willing to be comfortable in the background. Always willing to assist and help and care for the less fortunate. Dianne loved animals , especially her two cats. We enjoyed many conversations and laughter. We will all miss her lovely sense of humour.

My best friend's Mum, whom I never got to meet, still made a point to ask about me and say hello. So sweet. God bless, dear lady.

When I first started school as a 5 year old at Springdale, I used to double on the back of Diane's bike to and from school for the first year before we moved up north to Okaihau, then we walked (ran if we were late) a mile to the corner to catch the school bus.
