

Edith was born in Yorkton Saskatchewan and moved to Vancouver in her early years. She married Bob and settled into military life raising 3 children. Relocating to the Comox Valley in 1968. She worked as a Secretary for the base for 25 years until her retirement in 1996. Edith was a life member at RCL #17 where she volunteered for years as an executive secretary as well as sitting on countless committees. She was awarded the Palm Leaf to her Meritorious Service Medal in 2009, one of the highest Legion awards. Edith volunteered her time with COPS, Crime Stoppers, and Federal Retiree's to name a few.
Mom was an avid bingo player and enjoyed her evenings out with friends. She loved gardening and spending time with family. The greatest loves of her life were her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Edith is survived by her Children; Kim (Frank), Mark, Ian (Kathy), Grandchildren; Marise (Mike), Ben (Caitlyn), Jessica (Ty), Aaron (Makayla), Great Grandchildren; Grace, Hudson, Isla, Jordan, Lochlann, Declan, Ryann and Reid.
Special thanks to Dr. Reggler and the palliative care team for the wonderful care you showed our Mom and honouring her wishes to stay at home till the end.
Mom you were loved beyond words and will be remembered for your strength and fight, right up to the very end. You were definitely a force to be reckoned with and have made us all stronger for loving you.
