Emily enjoyed fashion and art. She spent many years being an entrepreneur combining her love of antiques, jewelry, and aesthetics. She was a woman who often reinvented herself. Her husband of nearly 60 years once said he was a lucky man because he had a ‘new’ wife every few years. Emily had a flair for fashion and loved her bling. She used to joke that she was part crow, because she had a hard time resisting the sparkly things in life. She used this passion to be a part of the Rock and Gem club and spent many years creating beautiful silver and rock jewelry. Emily loved to entertain. She was always the hostess with mostest. It was said if anyone ever left her household hungry, it was by no fault of her own. She was generous and lavish in her spoiling of her children and grandchildren. Emily was given the opportunity to meet Ken, a son she had thought was lost at birth. She was happy she had the opportunity to form a relationship with him over the last few years. Emily always had the time to listen to people when they needed her, no matter the hour. Emily loved the beach. Some of her fondest times were spent ‘glamping’ at Kitty Coleman with her husband and grandchildren. Emily was a dedicated mother and wife. She stood by her motto of family first, no matter the circumstance and held firm to her values and convictions. She was a good friend. She had many dear friends in life and some of whom were chosen to start their next journey before her. She especially loved being a part of a trio with her best friends, Margit and Gerda, aptly nicknamed the Three Musketeers. She always held her memories of them close in her heart and looked forward to meeting up with Margit and Gerda, for the next great adventure. She also looked forward to seeing her mom, and her grandson Daniel in her next chapter. Emily enjoyed travel. She was able to explore the castles of Germany, enjoy the Alaskan beauty, and the glitz and glam of Vegas, as well as many other hidden gems. Emily loved animals. She had many pets over the years and loved each and every one of them immensely. She loved her Codie Odie, her Sterling, her Mork, her Mistoff, her Tonga, and her Ruffy.
She often said she looked forward to seeing them again on the other side.
Emily was a woman no one will forget and was loved by many and will be missed Until we meet again.
