H. David Wellard

David, beloved husband of Susan, passed away peacefully at the North Island Hospital, Comox Valley. He was predeceased by his sister, Vera, and his brothers-in-law Gerry and David. He is survived by his wife, Susan, sisters-in-law Sally (Tom) and Deborah, brother-in-law, Mathieu, special niece Deb (Roy) and many nieces and nephews. In his own words "I've had a good life." He was intelligent, well educated, a teacher and a historian. He loved boats, skiing, travel, the French Language, books, politics, music, wine and chocolate. He was an honourable man, a true and loyal friend, and the kindest, most loving husband imaginable.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's College in Winnipeg, Chalice Canada or a charity of your choice.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at the hospital who provided kind, compassionate care in his final hours.

Cremation has taken place and the Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church at 11:00AM, December 10, 2024.
