Harry tapped, danced, sang and acted thru his journey of life till the sun rose and shone on Sunday, August 16, 2020
Harry Alfred Dixon was born at home in Toronto on April 2, 1927.
Harry grew into many, many paying occupations: as a postee in Ontario, as a miner in Ontario and British Columbia, and he even joined the army for 6 years.
Harry, a perfect and distinguished gentleman eventually married his "seeing-eye-chick" Sharon Jones on January 12, 2002, and they continued dancing, singing, acting, clowning around, and going to jazz fests.
Harry belonged to many theatre groups and greeted patrons at the door of the Sid Williams Theatre for years. On July 2, 2015 Harry was awarded the Century Citizen Award for the City of Courtenay.
A gathering celebration of family and friends will be held at a later date.
