James Emil Ratushniak

Preceding in death is his wife Martha of 54 years. He is survived by his two sons Kirby with his wife Gloria, Brent with his fiance April and their families. Including five grandchildren Glorianggy (with Simon), Jacqueline, Justin (with Carey), Cody (with Alessia) and Kassie (with Troy). Also two great grandchildren Karina and Ella Nora as well as several brothers and sisters.

Emil was a man of many talents, having worked in many industries over the years, he showed his family the value of hard work. He enjoyed carpentry, building bird houses and doll houses for his grandchildren. He loved dogs, the outdoors and cherished his time in the North at their cabin in Zed Lake, Manitoba.

Emil had a wealth of knowledge on many topics he enjoyed sharing with loved ones. His grandkids knew him for his skill and prowess on the pool table as well as the cribbage board. Many evenings were spent together playing cards and telling stories late into the night. His skills in the garden and kitchen were matched only by his late wife, Martha.

Previously he resided in Hay Lakes, Alberta area. Where he and Martha raised their family. His final years spent in British Columbia was a lifelong dream since he was a young man and he got to fulfill that dream to live there later in life. He spent his final years in the company of his friend Annie Hansen.

A Celebration of Life will be held this coming spring in Jasper as per his wishes!
