Jamie wished to have a Celebration of His Life in Edmonton, AB and where he grew up in Chipman, NB.
The service in Edmonton will be held on Friday September 13, 2013 at 1400h (2:00pm). It will be at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton (Edmonton Garrison) at 1 Field Ambulance.
This place was important to JT as it was where he was the Brigade Surgeon and Officer Commanding Medical Company 2010-2011, after his deployment to Afghanistan. He made so many friends and admired so many of his colleagues during his time there. You do NOT have to be military to attend. This service is for anyone and everyone who wish to help celebrate his beautiful life.
The service out east will be in Chipman New Brunswick and the date is yet to be determined.
Knowing Jamie, you would know about his passion for medicine, that being said he decided that he did not want any flowers. So in lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation, please do so via the following link. This is a very special memorial we set up via the BC Cancer Agency that with use 100% of the donations ONLY for research. It was very important to JT that his passing aid specifically in researching only Head and Neck Cancers, so this is what he will get.
In true JT style, he is still helping people.
Please know that each and every one of you are invited, we may not know you, but if you knew Jamie, he would love you to be there. You can forward this email to anyone you think would like to know.
Thank you,
Kare Thibodeau
