I have been spending a lot of time fondly remembering all of the fun times I had since childhood with Uncle Medord/Joe.   He was always the "fun" uncle who loved to rough house with me and my siblings and toss us around his basement in Pickering.  Uncle Medord and Aunt Wendy were brave enough to take us camping and my favourite memories of those camping trips were staying up late of course and listening to Uncle Medord sing old songs by the campfire.   I am so sorry for your loss Aunt Wendy and wish I had been able to spend more time with both of you these last several years.

It was only recently that I had a conversation with Uncle Joe where I learned that he had spent a lot of time on the very same lakes that we have lived on for 21 years. He shared with me, that in his youth, he was always spending time in The Kawarthas on the lakes. In 2021, we as family, invested in a pair of matching touring Sea-Doos (the motorbikes of the water). Remembering his love for touring with his Honda Goldwing, we'll be thinking him whenever we're out touring on the seemingly endless waterways of The Kawarthas.

Remembering when Uncle Joe and Aunt Wendy visited Sharon, Sarah and I on Canada Day 2007 when we could spend time as a family with my Dad and Aunt Eva. A special memory!

Joe was one of a kind. I work with Joe back in the 80’s at Alcan, Even though I did not work there long, we always kept in touch. He was a great baseball player, we had great times at the Alcan tournaments.
The last time I saw Joe was when he and Wendy lived in Burnaby.  I spent the weekend with them and Joe was launching his fishing boat (yacht) for the 1st time, the boat was huge. Then they took me up Grouse mountain that night to see the city lights, such great memories. Joe had been sending Keith and I joke emails over the past years, he could always make you laugh. Wendy, we are very sorry for your loss, our deepest sympathies.

Dear Aunt Wendy, I also wanted to say how much it meant to me that  you and Joe travelled all the way to Hong Kong and then New Zealand to attend our wedding. Such precious memories. Love you,

Aunt Wendy, We are so saddened by the loss of Joe.  There are so many fond memories that we have.  When I was a little girl, he was my favourite uncle because he always so much fun. He let me, Jen and Steve all climb on him and pretend he was a horse.  Great memories when you lived in Pickering and of course, in Vancouver too.  This photo is one of the many road trips that you took us on when we visited.  Joe was showing us how the birds would come to him if he held a cheesie in his hand. To all of our surprise, it worked! I just remembered the most funniest memory of Uncle Joe that involved a few of the nieces and a nephew.  It was up in Haliburton. We had a pop up camping trailer and us kids, Susan, Jennifer, Steven and I were sleeping out in it.  At some point when we were in there almost sleeping, Uncle Joe stuck his hand up between the metal part of trailer and the canvas tent that pops up and grabbed us. Screams of terror were heard from inside while laughter was heard from the outside.  That was our Uncle Joe.  Lol 

My Dearest Aunt Wendy, I’m so very sorry. My love and thoughts are with you. I will always be grateful to you and Uncle Joe for having me out to BC for Christmas when I was 19, and taking me all over BC It was a very special trip that I will always remember thank you and Love you very much. ❤️

Aunt Wendy I’m so sorry to hear of Uncle Joe’s passing. I have so many fond memories from my childhood.  Anytime you guys visited I always got him to fix my bike. I remember how cool it was that he had a motorbike. And then you guys got an RV trailer,  I remember how the chairs spun around and thinking this was like a mini house on wheels.  Then you guys moved to BC and I remember when we went out to visit when Kristin was a baby and all the cool places you showed us.  He was always beyond “cool” in my eyes.  He will be missed.  

Met joe 1968 in Toronto became friends,Shared a room at his mother and fathers apt greatly appreciated at the time. Being nb. boy’s we had a lot in common we both liked to have a drink , play with cars and raise hell. Being a buddy meant moving everyone in his family at least once some twice.
We had many trips,Montreal,nb. One trip to Montreal we were in a restaurant Joe said i will order the coffee being of French decent he orders in French the waitress says pardon ,he says just give me two coffee please so much for that.
Wendy was a very special person to have his 
buddy along on many of there dates (she had to really be in love with him to put up with that)
His other love was cars always had a nice one .
The one he had when i met him he thought was a snow plow drifting snow not so. Bought a car on the Danforth first thing take it though the car wash in we go driver’s side window don’t go up, i never let that one go. When his mother let her baby boy move out he moved in with me payback.
Think he still took his laundry to moms.
This lasted till they got married . When I found my true love married , year or two we moved to nb. We have remained good friends all these years not seeing each other as often as we would like. Definitely a shock to us was his passing.

Rest In Peace cousin!   The last time I saw you was in NB on Pépère Nowlan ‘s land  at our cousin Joseph’s place.  What great memories of all us cousins together.

Uncle Joe. I will always remember the time you took me on a motorcycle ride around  the mountains of West Vancouver.  It was such an amazing day that I will never forget.  I will forever remember the great time we had on our Alaskan Cruise.   Rest In Peace and forever watch over Wendy and the family. Until we meet again.  You will forever be missed.

Aunt Wendy i wish we could all be there to give you big hugs.  We are so sorry for your loss.  Its really hard to believe.  I will always cherish our trip together to Alaska.  I will treasure the last dance we had at little lynnes wedding.  There are so many memories i will never forget.  Please keep watching over wendy and your nieces and nephews.  We love and miss you already uncle medor

It's an experience il never have again and I'm glad I got to share it with you. Love you buddy until we meet again. Rest easy and take good care of us from up there ♥️
