Joyce raised her children with her husband James Allen Baker on the Bar-U Ranch in High River, AB. Here the family all enjoyed riding horses and looking after the animals. Joyce and Claude later moved to the Comox Valley 20 years ago to be closer to her daughter, where she made many good friends.
Joyce is survived by 7 children, 15 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren and 2 more on the way.
Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband James Allen Baker, and second husband Claude Joseph Grondin.
Joyce loved her music and donated most of free time to playing piano in nursing homes in the Comox Valley. She also loved animals, spoiling any that she came in contact with.
