

Born in Groschowitz, Germany on November 19, 1921. Mom grew up, schooled in cooking, during the war years worked as a tester in a cement factory, and she married.Soon after, with her family, was able to make her way to West Germany.After 4 years the family immigrated to Calgary, Canada. And in 1962. moved to Black Creek, B.C., where her family could call home.After being widowed, she moved to Courtenay, where she enjoyed her days with family, friends, cooking and reading.Family: children, grandchildren AND great grandchildren, were her greatest pleasure-- the best and most generous Mom, Oma and Gros Oma ever.
She is predeceased by her husband, Willi; her parents, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
Survived by:her sister (Elli in Germany) son, Helmut (Alma), daughter, Christa (Allan), grandchildren: Dan (Krissy), Cindy (Mark), Nicole (Craig), Brandon; great -grandchildren: Dylan, Ariana, Cameron, Dawson, Hailey and Landen.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Reggler for his many years of caring for Mom, Dr. Gallager, Angela for her comforting blessings and prayers, and the incredible, loving staff at Eagleview, where she spent her last 7 years, and learned again to sing, laugh and dance.
