Peter was born on January 26, 1942 in Germany, to Margaret and Johan Faak. His wife, Emily passed the previous year as well as his beloved grandson Daniel (2001); Peter leaves behind his son Dean, daughter Rita, and grandchildren Dean, David, Rosa, Finnley, and Ryder.
Peter’s love for nature and the great outdoors brought him to Canada, where his love of hunting and fishing settled him on Vancouver Island. He gave up his career of plumbing to always be outdoors, working for Menzies Bay for over 25 years as a faller. His retirement was spent camping by the ocean, playing poker, and enjoying his beautiful mountain view, in the home he built.
Peter was a Jack of all trades. He never met a project he couldn’t figure out. He loved cooking and hosting a BBQ. Peter traveled home to Germany on several occasions and hosted his family in Canada as well. They affectionately referred to him as Onkel Peter and always enjoyed spending time together.
Peter was fair, kind, and funny. He was well loved by his family and will be missed. Until we meet again dad ♥
