They nicknamed her Peggy after a family friend because Grandma didn’t like the name Maggie. She died at home on April 7, 2021 one month after her 71st birthday.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Ian and Sharon Reid, her children and their partners, Caila & Pieter Vorster, Jana & Brent Baker and Taylor & Amanda Holbrook, her seven grandchildren, her nieces and nephews and her grandnieces and grandnephews.
She loved reading, gardening, chocolate and her family. She will be missed.
We will be holding a small family gathering on April 23rd at 2:30pm PST in Courtenay, BC to celebrate her life. If you would like to participate, please gather with your family and loved ones at this time and at an outdoor place you feel is appropriate. For much of her life Peggy was an avid gardener, if you have something to plant, we know she would appreciate the gesture.
