Peggy was born in North East Ham, London and basically grew up in that city in the era and aftermath of World War II. She moved permanently to BC as a war bride in 1957, crossing the Atlantic Ocean in mid-December pregnant and with 6 other children. She did not live outside of the Comox Valley thereafter. She was a devoted mother who stood behind her children and large extended family no matter what. She was generous to a fault with a sense of humor like no other. She was a courageous and determined lady able to live at home independently until her passing. Family meant everything to her.
Predeceased by husband Norman, daughters Norma and Greta, and granddaughter Sharon.
Survived by daughters Carol Grant (Billy), Lynn, Marie (Fred Trant), sons Roy (Marlene), Terry (Heather), Larry (Lesley), Wayne (Jean). Peggy also leaves 20 grand children, 28 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson who came to see her before she started her long journey.
She has requested to not have a service. She will be sorely missed by all those left behind. We hope that she is enjoying her freedom.
