OBITUARY

Robert "Bob" William McLean

January 11, 1934February 19, 2020

Robert (Bob) William McLean born January 11, 1934 passed away peacefully on February 19, 2020 at North Island Hospital - Comox Valley.

Bob had a zest for life, a great sense of adventure and was always one to think outside the box. Bob spent many years in the fishing and logging communities and was a very capable “handyman” enjoying many projects throughout his life. He was willing to lend a helping hand at all times to friends, family and strangers alike. Bob had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge; always seeking more information to master any craft or idea he found interesting. There was always a smile and the word “Greetings” when Bob arrived.

Predeceased by his loving wife Yvonne Mclean and his sister Yvonne Schneider; he will be sorely missed by his three children Denise, Scott and Lori; his Grandchildren Carly, Brock, Jordan, Mary and Calvin and his many friends.

The family would like to send a sincere Thank You to Dr. Daryl Mcleod and the incredible health professionals at the North Island Hospital - Comox Valley.

Have many memories of Bob, staying with our family in Quesnel.
He was lots of fun. We tried to keep in touch over the years between Yvonne and Bob 's moves and mine. Loved them both dearly especially Bob's sense of humor. I had lost touch these past 20 years and sorry for that. Would love to hear from his children.
Look forward to meeting in heaven. Love always cousin Sandra.

To My Cousins: We are saddened to hear of the loss of your father. I remember playing chess with your dad (my uncle), as he was the one that taught me to play chess, when I was a teenager. Enclosed is a photo of your dad and me, circa 1965.

He so loved his sister, my mom, and always kept in touch with her, while she was alive, which was a great comfort to her. He will be missed and our sincere condolences on the loss of your dad. Much love from us both.
