Ronald Barrie Jackson

Ron sadly passed away Monday after a long illness. Born in Victoria, as a young boy Ron discovered his happy place while on vacation at his grandparents’ cabin on Hornby Island. The island would become his home for most of his adult life. Predeceased by his father Barrie, Ron is survived by his mother Lois (John), brother Randy (Deb), nephew Matt, niece Kelly (Dylan), grandniece Kona and grandnephew Ben. He will be remembered always by Brenda and his many devoted friends on Hornby. Ron loved to read indiscriminately, amassing a library mostly from what was available at the “Free Store” on Hornby. He was a force to be reckoned with at Scrabble and cribbage. He loved his cats and his community of friends. “Brown Dog”, you are loved and you will be missed.
