A graduate of the University of Calgary, Selina obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities. She found solace and inspiration in the arts, particularly in creative writing, expressive art, and vocal performance.
Selina's professional life was marked by dedication and leadership as the theatre manager at Uptown Stage & Screen and as the volunteer services advisor at Silvera for Seniors.
Beyond her career, Selina was immersed in her community, lending her talents to organizations such as Red Mile Revenge! and Expressions: Spoken Word at Koi. She believed in the power of storytelling and the spoken word to connect souls and ignite change. Her greatest joy was found in the role of motherhood, where she poured her infinite love into her son, Huxley Thivierge.
Selina is survived by her beloved son, Huxley, her loving parents, Don and Judy Clary, and her siblings: Adrian (Christine) Clary, Katrina (Alex) Kogutkiewicz, and Belinda (Nick Ridley) Clary. She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: Harper, Hayden, Simon, Isaac, Isabelle, and Amber. Selina is also survived by co-parent JP Thivierge, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Selina was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Peter, Kaila, and Sawyer for their love and support during Selina's time in British Columbia. Additionally, Duwanee’s kindness during Selina's final year is sincerely appreciated.
A private celebration for Selina will be held at a later date to honour her spirit and life according to her wishes. Please consider donating in Selina’s memory to the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention.
Tu nous manques déjà.
From Hugh’s Meadows
If I can’t
The Universe will
is what your great-uncle says
I believe in God’s unfailing Love
is a thing I repeat
but I know you’re agnostic, this week
