Hi Ken and Randy

I only learned of your mom's death today april 24. I remember all the times we spent christmas together during our young days in quebec. I especially remember the many visits we had at connie's home in dunham. 
Although we have not kept in touch both of you are in my thoughts as I commute back and forth to toronto a few times each month.

To loose both parents in such a short time is difficult. Jane and I offer our sincere condolences to you and your families.

My mom was truly our family rock.She made the most of her life with her friends and family.When she met my dad they were truly in love .This gave my brother and I Randy an incredible childhood that we still feel the resonance of her gentle soul.She always had only good to say about everyone and never judged .Growing up in the 70s was like magic with her steady hand. I'm sure her church group the Calvin group teachers and students along with family and  customers of Ridgeview the restaurant we owned in Port Perry all remember by moms constant state of grace ..Thanks Mom ..son number 1 Ken

It was a pleasure and an honour to know Chris .In the short time I knew her we became very close .I will miss her.

On behalf of my son, Samuel, his spouse, Megan and granddaughter, Gabrielle, my condolences to Kenny and Randy and families. 

I regret not be able to be with you all this afternoon and thankful to wife Janice who will represent "the Quebec Hunts."

As the oldest grandchild, I can remember how blessed we were on the number of times when "Uncle Mitch," "Auntie Christine" and the two boys would travel down Woodard Road to visit with the rest of us. 

My memories of Christine are very much like those of cousin, Heather and on hearing of her passing was surprised considering her tall and youthful countenance and demeanour.

Chris has been a blessing in my life. Our paper tole journey began in 1995 when Elaine, Joyce, Grace, Chris and I met for lunch in our homes with lots of laughs and reminiscing. Chris showed us the paper tole technique and how to frame our own picture. Chris convinced me that we could become partners so our hobby became a business and Clemencia helped us get started. We had classes at Eastdale High School, Durham college, Coldsprings church basement, Whitby, Conant, and Bowmanville seniors. I am thankful we met each other's church families and so many new friends. - Marilyn McIntosh

I am sorry to read of Chris' death. I taught with her at Vincent Massey and enjoyed knowing her. She was a dedicated and caring teacher and friend.

Perhaps, because I didn't have one, I always thought of Christine almost as an older sister.
In early years, going to Aunt Jessie's was always exciting. Christine had sets of playing cards made from the cards between shredded wheat & muffets... a doll's house from the cardboard shipping cartons of baby chicks, along with furniture from kitchen match boxes with tiny handsewn cushions & blankets.... recycling at its best.
Her last year of high school & my first she lived with us & we walked to & from school together.
Taking on a teaching position in the one room West Sutton School when she was refused entrance to teacher's college because she was too young took courage.
I admired her willingness to take risks and her calmness through the whole of her life.

We're so sorry to hear about your Mum.  She was a real stand-out and it's been wonderful to see pictures and hear memories from other family members. We were so pleased that you brought her to our Mom and Dad's 60th Anniversary last summer in Ottawa; a real treat for them and for us all.

I met Christine in 1958 when we taught and we became friends very quickly. I was in her wedding party and kept in touch over the years. She loved her family very much. I remember how excited  they both were when the boys were born . You will have wonderful memories of your mom . I certainly do.

Sorry to hear the news. Your Mom , as you note, would suffer in silence 
rather than complain. Jessica gave me a call this morning with the news.  As a very young teen, I was very impressed by Christine's extensive 
motor/tenting trip she made with some of her friends through the USA and 
Western Canada.  I had a great last day of school (picnic) at the one room West Sutton School. My sisters and I were guests of Teacher Christine.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I hadn't realized that she was that sick. I was really glad that you had brought her to see Mom which was almost exactly a year ago. Mom had just been reminiscing about Your Mom and visiting at Aunt Jessie's farm the other day. I'll be sure to tell her and my sisters as well. My best to all of you as you'll definitely be in our prayers this week.

 Oh, I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Aunt Christine! It is 
 uncanny that I have been thinking about her all week. For some reason and wondered how she was. I didn't know she was suffering from an illness. I heard from cousin Lloyd Hunt that we have some French Huguenot 
ancestry on my mother's side, via Grammie Gibson (Ola) & of course your grandmother, Jessie and Uncle Orton, whose mother Elva's mother was Anne Truax (an Americanized version of du Trieux). I told my mother on the phone that I always felt Aunt Christine looks French. I mean that as a compliment as I always remember Aunt Christine as such a beautiful, fashionable woman, who carried herself with such dignity and grace. I remember her through my childhood, as being so consistent and respectful to everyone. Thank you for sharing your mom's bravery in facing cancer. Although we didn't see your family often, I have always considered you boys, Ken and Randy, to be more like first cousins than second cousins. We are far away in Vancouver but the distance falls away. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the coming week, the job of telling family and friends, and all the responsibilities ahead. May God be with you, and grant you both peace, comfort, and strength.

 Oh gosh. I am so very sorry about your mom. What a shock.
 Its a real loss. I always remember looking up to your mom as a kid, and 
 thinking she was most beautiful. She had absolutely the best laugh. I'll
