Daniel Paradis

July 10, 1969October 17, 2018

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Daniel “Dan” Paradis on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in his 50th year at Sunnybrook Hospital. He leaves behind his best friend and wife, Janet, his cherished sons Christopher (Jessica) and Alexander and his newborn grandson, Miller. He will be lovingly missed by his parents Delvina and Michel (predeceased) and dear sister Susanne (Eddie). His nieces and nephew, Amber (Cody), Jesse, and Brittany and great nieces, Autumn and Emily will miss his fun loving spirit. Dan will also be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins, in-laws, friends, and colleagues of Local 721. Dan will be remembered most for his sense of humor -- he could make anyone laugh until their belly hurt, his dedication and devotion to his family -- especially to his sons, they were his everything!!!, his incredibly kind and generous nature, his love of hockey -- Go Leafs Go, and his delicious white chocolate & raspberry cheesecake -- a family favourite! The family would like to send a special ”Thank You” to all the doctors and nurses in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Sunnybrook Hospital for their tireless efforts, kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Sunnybrook Hospital or to a charity of their choice. A Celebration of Life will take place at St. Louis de France Church, located at 1415 Don Mills Rd at 11 am on Saturday, October 20, 2018.

I can’t believe that you have left us, in all the times we’ve laughed together and shared our stories I never thought about you leaving. 34 years is a long time to know someone and I’ve known you since we were kids basically. In all that time I had gotten to know you well, your kind heart, your bright contagious smile, your ability to make everyone around you smile and laugh. We would laugh till we cried, till our stomach’s ached. Getting together for every occasion and celebrating life with you was a joy, I’m sad that for you life was cut short, I’m sorry that you didn’t get to meet your grandson and share with him your wisdom. I’m sorry that we didn’t get to say goodbye. You are and will always be my family Dan, I love you like you were my brother and not just my brother in law. I will miss you each and every day until we meet again.

Chris, my deepest condolences to you and your family. As you know Dan and I worked together on a number of projects over the years. Your dad always had a great outlook and was a joy to work with. He will be greatly missed.
