Donna was like another mother to me. Her generous spirit and hospitality always made me feel welcome. Having the shelter and comfort of her home to go to, especially for Sabbath lunches, gave me a sense of security and acceptance. This helped me tremendously by sheltering and growing my fragile spirituality. For this I will be forever grateful.
Donna was meticulous, thoughtful, self-sacrificing, and strong willed. She raised two of my best friends to have these same caring and compassionate characters. It has been a blessing to have been a part of her life and to have shared so many special moments with her and her family. I look forward to watching her influence continue to develop in Lindsay and Ashley, and by God's grace to meet again when Jesus returns.

Steve & the Dooks family .... seems like just yesterday that as friends we ran carefree on Virgilwood Drive ... We've packed in a lot of life since then and here we are still present for each other to grieve dear, dear Donna. The inherent losses in life (some dreams, houses, jobs etc) does not quite prepare one for the also inherent loss of loved ones .... our faith and the understanding of 'rest' and 'a morning' buffers some of the ache. My memories of Donna include her elegant, short (like me!) stature, her rich singing voice, and her calm, warm inviting presence. A loss indeed ... yet Donna's life serves as inspiration to us who remain to live out all her fine qualities in our connections with each other as we continue on life's journey. I will continue to send lots of courage and good energy your way as you cope with the acute loss. Condolences to the entire family.

I will remember our times from days gone by, and our conversations from past to present. The most graceful and beautiful woman I have ever met. My prayers for the entire family will continue past these present days of sorrow, and to the days ahead. What a wonderful family reunion Jesus has promised us in Heaven one day, and so I look forward to that day.
