We are sad to announce the passing of Donna Pyott in her 82nd year at Toronto General Hospital. Beloved wife and best friend of J. Andrew Lyons of 44 years. Donna was born in Toronto and loved being a Beach girl, she worked as a legal secretary for the firm Tory Tory DesLauriers and Binnington, until her retirement in 2000. She and Andy enjoyed many years before and in retirement travelling to many areas of the world, both by air and by cruising to many exotic destinations. In retirement she took to golfing and swimming with girlfriends which she enjoyed. Memorial donations in Donna’s memory to Feed the Need would be appreciated. We are very saddened to hear of Donna's passing. She and her family grew up with my Dad (Doug Donaldson) in the Beaches and she is mine and my sisters Godmother. I have many happy memories of her when I was a child and in later years when we reconnected in Oshawa. She was wonderful to talk to, and we reminisced often of the early years in Kew Beach. She will be missed dearly.
Rest in peace Donna xox

We've shared many wonderful memories over the years. Worldly trips with the Ontario Regiment, regular dinners & parties at the Officers mess and Friday cocktails. We will always miss Donna's friendly and welcoming smile.

I was so very sorry to hear of Donna's untimely death. Donna and I had a pleasant sidewalk visit a couple of weeks ago when we happened to meet while out walking in the neighbourhood. I'm so glad we had that time to chat. Life can be so fleeting. Donna and I met in the golf league at Sunnybrae a number of years ago, and also at the 420 Wing at various activities there. My most sincere condolences to Andy and Donna's families.

Many condolences Andy at the loss of Donna. You were both such active members of Probus and seemed to enjoy joining in on all that was offered. Its a difficult time but hopefully we'll see you at the meetings when this is all over. I hope she did not suffer too long before she passed. Funnily enough this is Jim's birthday today and he died 12 years ago. He would have been 93.

Thinking of you Andy and sending along heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I met Donna while golfing many years much fun; always laughing. In more recent years, I enjoyed seeing both of you at the Oshawa Probus Club meetings. Again... Donna was always enjoying herself and bringing joy and laughter to others. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Sincerely, Janet
