It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Harley on Tuesday, May 24th 2016, at the age of 79 years. He will be fondly remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather and Uncle. He is survived by his loving wife Marion, son Geoff, daughter in-law Shannon, grandchildren, Austin, and Aiden, brother Geoff and sister in – law Ruth (Australia), together with family and friends in the United Kingdom, Australia and across Canada. Predeceased by his father Ronald Ellis and mother Jean nee Doble and sister Lorraine. Harley was retired member of Millwright local 2309 and current member of The Long Sault Flyers and Scugog Float Flyers. Harley's family would like to extend its appreciation to the emergency service personnel and emergency room staff at Lakeridge Health who provided care. A sincere thank you to Police Constable Duffy of the Durham Regional Police. A Celebration of Life service will take place at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484), on Monday, May 30th 2016 at 3:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior.
