Jerry Gillis

Passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, May 5th, 2017, at the age of 71 years. Dearly beloved husband of Bessie of 48 years. Loving father of Kelly Gillis (Kevin), Charlene Gillis (Dave), Kayla Gillis (Kirk) and Meagen Gillis. Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Laura) and great grandfather to Sarah. Survived by his siblings Jim, Calvin (Isabel), Ted, Margie (Rick), and sister in-laws Margaret and Mary. Predeceased by parents Anthony and Annie Gillis. Predeceased by siblings Ron (Margaret) and Dave (Mary), and sister in-law Marg. Thank you to the staff at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL 1587 Highway 2, Courtice (905-432-8484) on Saturday, May 13th, 2017, from 2:00 pm until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 3:00 pm.
