When I Get Where I’m Going 🕊🖤

When I get where I'm going
On the far side of the sky
The first thing that I'm gonna do
Is spread my wings and fly
I'm gonna land beside a lion
And run my fingers through his mane
Or I might find out what it's like
To ride a drop of rain
Yeah, when I get where I'm going
There'll be only happy tears
I will shed the sins and struggles
I have carried all these years
And I'll leave my heart wide open
I will love and have no fear
Yeah, when I get where I'm going
Don't cry for me down here
I'm gonna walk with my grandaddy
And he'll match me step for step
And I'll tell him how I missed him
Every minute since he left
And then I'll hug his neck
Yeah, when I get where I'm going
There'll be only happy tears
I will shed the sins and struggles
I have carried all these years
And I'll leave my heart wide open
I will love and have no fear
Yeah, when I get where I'm going
Don't cry for me down here
So much pain and so much darkness
In this world we stumble through
All these questions I can't answer
So much work to do
But when I get where I'm going
And I see my Maker's face
I'll stand forever in the light
Of His amazing grace
Yeah when I get where I'm going
Oh when I get where I'm going
There'll be only happy tears
Hallelujah
I will love and have no fear
When I get where I'm going
Yeah, when I get where I'm going

in 2016 the 3 of us (mom, dad, and me) went to disney and in hollywood studios my mom wanted a picture with the storm troopers, so she ran over to them and they weren’t taking pictures with people at the time so she was begging them for a picture and she was trying to hug them. there also was another person walking with them that worked there so she called security and they had to come and get my mom off of them and to leave them alone😂

i will never forget the amazing memories i have with my family💕
love ya mom😘

Oh Lesley, where do I even begin! We have shared so many memories over the years that there would be too many to mention!! We met when our kids went to school together and our friendship quickly grew into leaving the kids at home and spending many nights chatting with a glass of wine until all hours of the night. I will always remember all our road Trips together as there was never a dull moment when you were around.

Your infectious laugh will be forever in my mind, your dance moves will never be forgotten and your wine glass will always be full at every gathering I have!!

Myself, Tim and the kids are forever grateful for having you in our lives.

Love ya forever sistah!! 💕 🥂

Lesley and I were friends and co-workers for nearly 30 years and she was one of my closest and dearest friends. She was there through the good times with her infectious laugh, wicked sense of humour and fun loving spirit. She could light up a room! She was also there through the hardships- a shoulder to lean on, a compassionate confidante who listened and gave me great advice.
I often witnessed and admired her gift of connecting with people and making them feel at ease.

Lesley you will be sorely missed by the many lives you have touched through your short time here- taken from you much too soon. Your spirit will live on through Craig, your beautiful daughter Samantha and your many friends and family.
You will never be forgotten❤️
Much love and “Shooter cheers”

Lesley, we were truly blessed to have had you as a neighbour, well that’s at least how it started. Over the years you, Craig and Sam have transitioned from neighbours, to friends, to family. We have shared so many amazing memories and I will cherish them forever. Whether it was cocktailing on Oldman Rd, fun times at cottages or a trip to Great Wolf Lodge, we always had a blast and you would inject the fun into every gathering. You were truly one of the kindest women I have ever had the pleasure of calling a friend. I will never forget you.

Lesley was such a bright light. Never one to shy away from sharing her thoughts and always so much fun on Parent Counsel.

She was one of the strongest women I know and faced this stage of her journey with grace and strength.
Sincere Condolences to you Craig and Samantha and know you are loved and being prayed for.

Les lived life to the fullest. You knew you would always have lots of laughs with her around. Her laugh was infectious. One of the best things I loved about Les was how much she loved Sam. Every time I would talk to her, she would always glow when she was proudly speaking about her.

Les will be missed! Condolences to Craig and Sam and your entire family.

Mary Anne, Laurie, Paul, Craig and Samantha.

So sorry to hear this very sad news, what a shock. Hard to find the words, remember so many times of the get togethers on Chesterfield Drive when the kids were younger. The celebrations and parties were great.
Such a beautiful smile and soul will be missed by many.
Prayers to you all. I am sure Pete and Leslie are together again in heaven.
Love to all

In this strange world we are living, it is hard to not celebrate Lesley in a way she would have enjoyed. Her smile was infectious and she will be missed by so many as I have seen on FB. Taken way too soon.
Lesley, you are now with my Mom and your Dad and that gives me comfort. I am sure Mom has a supply of white wine for you both.
Will miss you Cuz but we will have a hell of a party to celebrate you when we can. Xo

I met Lesley in 1987. I was a brand spanking new Technologist working in Chemistry at The Hotel Dieu Hospital in Kingston.
Lesley was the very first student I'd ever had under my direction.
We spent a whole week together in a little room doing some specialized testing, and right from the beginning I knew there was definitely something very special about her. She had a way of making you feel comfortable and make you laugh. The kind of person you felt you've known your whole life.
In 1989 I moved out of the area, but always met up somewhere Lesley was. Again, that flare about her was there. Her incredible sense of humor, and sparkling eyes that smiled brightly at you.
I had the privilege of working with her in Histology from 2010 to 2018 when I retired. Lesley was one of those people who would do anything to help out anyone, or deal with a situation needing attention. She was always the first to step up and help out. A conflict resolver and peace keeper.
Despite all of the hard times Lesley has gone through over the years, she still maintained a strong and positive attitude.
It's hard to believe that this has happened.
We had so much fun together at work or at a social gathering.
My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to Craig, Samantha and her whole Family.
Rest in Heavenly Peace my friend.
You will be sorrily missed
Rhonda Rose
