Lorraine Greensides

May 6, 1928June 11, 2020

Passed away peacefully at Bay Ridges care home in Pickering on June 11th, 2020. Beloved wife of the late James Greensides, loving mother to Cindy Stevens (Dennis) and Jim. She was a wonderful Nanny to Brett, Kristie, Jasmine and James and she was especially sorry to leave her great grandchildren Hunter, Scarlett and Brooklyn. Lorraine will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Rita and Carol and her nieces and nephews. You always knew where Lorraine stood on things, but never did you doubt her love and devotion to her family and friends. Her door was always open and her homes filled with fun and laughter. Lorraine wanted more than anything to be with her family. She was always with us and always will be with us, forever in our hearts. Arrangements entrusted to COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice, (905-432-8484). Online condolences may be made at www.courticefuneralchapel.com.

Having grown up around the corner from the Greensides, and having been a good friend of Cindy's in those elementary school years, I was saddened to read of the loss of your mom this June. Well I remember playing with you, Cindy, in your backyard and jumping on your trampoline, sometimes contending with your little brother (which we also had to do at my house)! I called on you or you called on me almost every day before we walked to Rivercrest PS. I'm sure that you have so many great memories to fill your hearts at this time of loss. Thinking of you in your time of sorrow.

So many memories that go back many years , when we were so young and carefree !!
through the years with children growing up and then retirement with the fun times in Florida and our cottages. Always with Jim laughing , he will be so happy to have his Lorraine with him again. Rest in peace now , good friend. Much love from Rene
