I found about my dear Marg’s passing today. What a blow! I was left there limp, speechless and internally numb. A nuclear bomb could have gone off and I would not have noticed. I feel absolutely ashamed that I kept distance from the family for so long to now come back and hear the news. I could have had precious time to be by Marg’s side! I knew Marg for more than twenty years and she was the most caring, friendliest person you could meet. She had a dazzling smile and lively grace to her. She could pick up anyone’s spirit with her smile and wit. She was a mother to me and always will be. To the Matsui’s, I give my full condolences to the loss of what is inarguably a loss for the ages. My warm thoughts of Marg will follow me for the rest of my life.

Marg will be deeply missed. We will miss seeing her happy face in the neighbourhood. She LOVED our dog, and would always come down her driveway to greet him whenever she was outside. I’m so saddened to learn that Marg has passed away. My sincerest condolences to the family.

My deepest condolences to Rick Matsui and your sons. I am so extremely sorry to just hear about Marg's passing...I am so sorry you lost your beautiful wife and your sons lost a great mother.

When I found out about Marg's passing yesterday (Feb 13/2019) at 4:30pm, I had to leave work. I am in shock...truly, her passing is like a blow to my heart.

We first met in 1995 at a Toy Show about months after seeing her on CTV News when they did a segment on her Barbie Collection. I used to go to Marg's home when she used to have her shows there and then to the stores over the years until they moved to Oshawa. Marg introduced me to dolls other than Barbie (Gene, Fashion Royalty/Integrity (Jason Wu), Mizi) and I always loved buying the vintage Barbie's and accessories from her at the shows and online. And so many books I bought too! Plus her friendliness and big smile she always gave me when she saw me (even through e-mails) made me felt welcome and at ease.

Thank you Rick, family, and staff for continuing the MFD business and I will be customer forever.
I will always love Marg!

My prayers and blessings with be with you and your family during this difficult time.

Your friend and customer for life.

One of the very best things that ever came from my collecting dolls was meeting Marg. Her warm, welcoming spirit and her enthusiasm for life were contagious. She was such a fabulously warm lady, and my husband and I both loved her immediately.

Steve and I feel so lucky to say we knew Marg, and we extend our condolences to the family and friends she left behind.

I am deeply saddened of the passing of Margaret, the most kindest, generous person I knew. My dear next door neighbour.
We would be outside pulling weeds out of our garden and lawn and laughed at the craziest things we had in common.
I will miss her immensely. Every day when I walk outside waiting for her so say, "How's it going".
To Rick, Ian, Eric and her mom, the Simkins family give our heartfelt sympathy and our thoughts of strength during this time of grief.
I miss you Margaret.

So so sad. A wonderful co-worker at St Vincent's, Marg was an amazing person who livened up life every minute of the day. A dedicated, hard worker, Marg got along with everyone and jumped to help wherever she could. Her and I enjoyed many hours of banter, teasing and crazy laughter. I will miss her terribly. To Rick I extend my heartfelt sorrow and thoughts for strength in this time of grief. Goodbye to a remarkable woman. Brad Lockner.

What a shock it was to hear this sad news. Marg was a wonderful person and a great friend. She was so loved in the doll collecting community, and anywhere else she happened to be.
I can't believe that I will never share Barbie talk and laughter with her again.
My sympathies to Rick, Ian and Eric. A bright light has gone out in the world. Marg will be missed.
