Mom, we just said our goodbyes to you today. As always in life and even today while you sleep you were dressed to the nines. Your makeup and hair was perfect and we even got your nails painted just as you liked them. My brother and I shared our special memories with you today as did our partners and our children.
As was your wish mom I played the song you told me you wanted “wind beneath my wings” and Alan played your other favourite “Oh Flower of Scotland” and yes mom you were the flower of all Scotland. A classy lady always smiling and dressed to a “T”.
You always told me to make sure I was always dressed and presentable and that my makeup and hair should always be done properly. I remember the first time you saw me wearing pants and you gave me such a ticking off because you said “those are for men”. I have tried so hard to make sure I made you proud and you always tell me how lovely I am.
I miss you mom, I miss talking to you and you giving me hug and knowing when I need you even when I didn’t tell you.
The song you chose will live in my heart forever because;
and everything everything that I wanted to be.
I can fly higher than an eagle
Because you are the wind beneath my wings.

Sleep tight mom. Some day will meet again and I will get that hug.

I was blessed to have this beautiful lady as my mom. She was my strength when I was dropped to my knees and my biggest supporter of my goals and successes.

Her love was unconditional and her hugs felt like they could solve the problems of the world.

She taught my sister and I the proper way to live life and installed in us a very strict moral code and held us accountable for our actions.

She taught us the importance of family and built a bond between family members that is unbreakable.

She was always dressed like a lady and her home was filled with love, my sister and I never knew a day as kids without a home made meal and to this day its a fight to get the last morsel of her cooking.

Mom you touch the hearts of everyone friends and family. Your grandchildren and great grandchildren were so blessed to have a grandmother that was full of fun and loved them with every part of her being.

Your daughter in law is heart broken to the core of her soul, she keeps saying I will so miss her excitement and the loving hug every time I walked through her door.

Your son in law or I should say my brother your other son has shed tears of sorrow that I have never seen in the 50 years I have known him. You stole his heart and he will miss his wife teasing him over that patties you would make for him to quote “want a wee pattie son “

If people were to ask Janice and I what was the blessing in our lives it would be you. The families we have today come from the example you showed us.

Mom you will be missed every day until we see you again when the lord calls us home.

Margaret was one of our favorite customers at Paisleys.
Sandy and Margaret would visit us almost each week and we would share a good laugh, and a wee talk, and sometimes she would even bring us in a Gin Spritzer, but Margaret was more than just a customer, she became this amazing lady that we grew to love and respect.
Always dressed impeccably, she was a classy lady with a heart of gold, a great sence of humor, and treated everyone she met like family.
We will miss terribly, but I am quite sure she will be with us in spirit and she will make the perfect angel .
Until we meet again my friend .

A classy, fun loving, joyful and witty lady. We are going to miss our conversations and laughs at the Courtyard and anywhere else we would meet up.
You were truly a gem and will be sadly missed in our lives but will be forever in our thoughts and memories.

Margaret was part of our family for many years, coming to my home every Thursday to get her hair set by my daughter Brittney. She would come rain or shine in her skirt and little heals and bring treats for all the animals in our house. Everyone loved her sweetness, kindness and beautiful heart. She was truly one of a kind and will be remembered lovingly forever, RIP our sweet little Margaret xxxooo

Dear Margaret,
Such a lovely strong lady, and truly a very classy woman.
So kind , so thoughtful of everyone.
But what we will miss mostly, is her incredibly funny stories, and quick wit.
You are loved by many, dear Margaret
We will miss you.
Much love from

We have very fond memories of our visit in 2001 (our Silver Wedding), Margarets hospitality was second to none, so much so that friends looking at our photos commented "is that all the clothes you had with you" no Margaret collected them every night, had them laundered and ironed ready for us the next day.
Margaret took us to a lot of tourist places, if we had let her she would have paid for them all such was her kindness.
After dinner every night we would retire to "Sandys den" where he would make June a Fuzzy Navel under Margarets instructions, to this day she never knew that June didn't really like it but drank it anyway.
Margaret was very proud of her house and after hoovering she would brush the carpet (something we had never seen before), to wind Margaret up Eric would run through and leave footprints which saw her chasing him with the brush.
When we returned in 2006 Sandy had retired by then and we had a few adventures with both of them again under Margarets instructions, these are just a few of the fantastic happy memories we shared.
What a wonderfull Lady to call our friend, she was very proud of Janice and Alan, their partners, grandchildren and great grandchild and we hope they can find solace in each other at this very sad time.
Sending our very best wishes.
Eric and June. X
