Muriel Joyce Irvine

IRVINE, Muriel Joyce (Taite), of Courtice -- passed away peacefully on Thursday March 29, 2012 at the age of 77. She is survived by her loving husband Lloyd; sons Shane (Carol) of Mineville, NS, Stephen (Corinne) of Bowmanville, ON, daughter Susan Smith (Graham Neville) Woodville, ON; grandchildren Todd and Adam (Leah McCormick) Smith, Rachel and Dylan Irvine; and great-granddaughter Lily Smith. She will be missed by sisters Shirley Crago, Lorna Lavigne, Sharon Crawford and Elaine (Dale) Haines; her many nieces and nephews and her little dog Bailey. Muriel was a long-time employee of General Motors and very active at the Oshawa Skeet and Gun Club. The family is grateful for the wonderful care Muriel was given by Bayshore Nursing and Marnwood Retirement Home. A special thanks to Renata and Theresa who knew just what she and we needed. Friends and relatives may visit at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484) on Wednesday April 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Muriel’s life will be held at the Courtice Funeral Chapel on Thursday April 5 at 11 a.m. Donations in her memory can be made to the Charity of your choice.
