On Saturday September 11, 2021, Nathanael Dove passed away suddenly but peacefully in his 43rd year. Family and friends are deeply saddened with Nat’s passing and will feel his absence in their lives for many years to come. This has been a painful tragedy for Nathanael’s parents and close family are helping them get through this difficult time.

Nat is survived in death by his father, Wayne, and his mother Linda. He leaves behind 2 loving brothers, Jason and Simon, 4 nieces and nephews, 2 sisters in law and dozens of friends from the Toronto and Durham region.

Nat was very active in the NA fellowship for the last 15 years in the Oshawa area and was loved by everyone he met. He developed close and meaningful relationships with many of his NA brothers and sisters over the years and they were like family. Nathanael had a wonderful sense of humor and a smile that would light up the room. He had a strong bond with his Lord and Saviour, and we are comforted with the knowledge that he has gone home and is in peace. We cannot express in words the sorrow his death has brought to so many. Visitation for Nathanael will be Sunday Sept 19th between 4:00pm and 8:00pm at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484).

Please sign up for visitation at

His funeral service will be private.

My heart breaks for all Nat’s friends and family who will truly miss him. He has left us way too soon. To his family I hope that the whole family will be able to hold tight to all the great and happy memories . I certainly know the feeling of losing a sibling far too young and the heartache and confusion that goes along with that. I have many happy memories of Nat from our childhood he was such a sweet and wonderful child. We will never understand all the reasons nor get all the answers why but we are left on this earth with each other to hold onto. I pray that God will comfort you all through this very difficult time. Hugs for you all.
My Mom also sends her condolences, prayers and love to the family.

We have many wonderful memories of Nat from Wildwood Bible Camp. We had the privilege of driving him in his early years there. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family may you find peace and comfort through our great Savior.

As I sit and reflect on the thoughts and memories of you many things come to mind. You’re booming laugh you’re ready smile and your sensitive soul. You were always there ready to partake in life and be part of. Personally I will always remember a conversation we had at a convention And I am ever grateful for that. Maurice will fondly remember five years of wood runs of great conversation that always ended in a big meal at Square boys enjoyed by both. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and we will do our best to comfort them at this heartbreaking time. Rest easy my friend and know that you are loved ❤️
