Looking for garage sales and came across this sad notice. Paula was a great life coach to many girls in her role as Brownie leader. She convinced our daughter Olivia that the sleepover was a fun time and as a result our daughter did more than one.
It's a small world....when talking with a senior friend today she spoke of a lovely, patient and caring nurse(VON) that was caring for her sister...We had a very sad ahah moment that took our breathes away...we were speaking of the same person that we had just found out had passed suddenly.
We hope all Paula's family will be blessed with atleast half the love and support she gave to so many.

My condolences go out to Paula's husband, children and family.  I was in shock when I heard of her passing.  She was so cheerful and civic minded.  She was the cog in the wheel of the Port Hope Sparks, Brownies, Girl Guides and Pathfinders.  We will all miss her sooo much!  She had an amazing ability to organize any type of event.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her husband and children.  Such a tragic loss!

I am so sad to hear about Paula's passing. She was a leader for my daughter in Girl Guides. She is an amazing person, with a kind loving soul! She always wanted to help people! so very sorry to her family :(

My thoughts and prayers go out to all her family. I am a 1st Port Hope Spark Leader and Paula did Brownies the same night as my Sparks. She was my go to person. She always had an answer to all my questions and if she did not know it she had the answer within a day. She was such an organized, caring, loving funny person. She will be missed dearly by myself as well as all the other guiding leaders and girls who were fortunate to have Paula as there brownie leader. I also worked at St. Anthony's for many years and did know Celeste and Alycia from there as well as had them for my Sparks. There is no words that can describe how I feel but will pray for all of you. If there is anything any of you need please do not hesitate to come to the church as I am more than willing to help in any way in your time of grief.

Paula and I worked together in Oshawa. She was a fantastic nurse and always fun to work with.  She was so proud of her children.  I am so sorry for your loss, and hope that remembering the good times will help carry you through.

So very sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this so sad time. Paula was a very special person in our lives. Growing up Leala and Paula were always together. It was like we had twin daughters. Her smile will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May all your memories help you through this time of grieving and continue through to the celebration of Paula's  life.

I did not know Paula well but through other Guiders I know that she was a very caring and enthusiastic member of Girl Guides. She put her whole self into everything she did and was always there to volunteer to do something else on top of what she was already doing. I'm sure everyone can agree, that we have been truly blessed to have had Paula touch our lives in some way. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Rest in peace, dear Guiding sister.

I am so saddened by this news.  Paula was a wonderful VON nurse. She came each week to look after me and we always had a great chat about her children and guiding.  She always made me smile.  My sincere condolences to you and your family.  Paula may you keep smiling down on us as you rest in peace.  Thank you for everything you did for me.  You will be missed.

I have had the opportunity to work with Paula this year helping out with Brownie events and camp. Her nick name for me was "Kitchen Owl". It was truly an honour seeing how amazing she was with the Brownie girls and with fellow Leaders. Paula will be missed by everyone.

Paula worked with me when she was a student nurse and after graduation she worked with me as my friend and colleague at Lakeridge Health.  I loved that girl. She was only 3 years older than my son and I felt very protective of her.  I am shocked and deeply saddened by her passing. My heart goes out to her family.  I will miss her always.

I met Paula and her daughters through Guiding. Paula was such a intelligent, fun, caring Guider and mom. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this time of immense loss.

Paula was my daughter, Serena's, Brownie leader last year and this year. Paula was a huge mentor to Serena and Serena has a special place in her heart for Paula. Serena and I enjoyed time with Paula this past Friday on the Band's Wonderland trip. My son, Leo, is a close friend of Marshall's, and he is really sad to hear Marshall has lost his Mommy. Paula was a kind soul with a huge heart. Serena, Leo and I will miss her greatly. Paula, we will never forget you. Marshall, Alicia, Celeste and Chris, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
