My deepest condolences to all of you on the loss of your Mom. We were connected by my Mom (Sheila Hill)and your Dad (her boss at work).....and our friendship continued to evolve at the trailer park. As young teenagers (Joanne and I) had so much fun and "freedom" there. The weekend seemed so long back then with so much entertainment and time outdoors. The friendships we made continued into our early 20's as we attended events and weddings. I remember both Don and Ruth well -- always just "being there" - giving us space - but always present with a kind word or piece of advice. How lucky to be raised by such caring and trusted parents. What a beautiful tribute video that summarized your Mom's life - a life well lived indeed. Again my condolences, may she RIP.

When first heard about the passing of Mrs. Law, it affected me in someway that I didn't quite understand.
I hadn't seen her in over 40 years....nor have I kept in touch...
Then why do I feel the way I do this morning?

And then I remembered.... David's Mom & Dad's home was a place where I was always welcomed.
Mr & Mrs Law were the type of people that didn't make us feel that we were 'just' kids.. we were equals in some way. This was something very different compared to my home; where the parent/child hierarchy was always apparent.
I truly appreciated their kindness....

David....your parents were good people. Take that thought with you today...it may make you smile on a very sad day.
Love

As a teenager I spent many happy hours at the Law house with our friends not to mention dinners around the kitchen table. Ruth (Mrs Law to me) was always quick with a smile or a laugh and tolerated all of our silliness with patience and love. She was a gem and will be missed !
Lots of love to the Law family.
