Toos "Terry" Teengs

In loving memory of Toos "Terry" Teengs who passed away peacefully at the age of 81, on Saturday, April 21st, 2012. She is survived by her son, Len, his wife, Susan, and their two sons, Justin and Jordan; as well as her daughter, Nancy, her,wife, Doe, and their two children, Rowan and Ani.

She has gone to join her husband, Leo Teengs, who passed away in 1997. She came to Canada to visit her sister, Mary Van De Vooren in London, Ontario, in 1957, and she was reacquainted with Leo, whom she knew from Holland, and they decided to marry one another to start a life in Canada. She survived childhood illness, the 2nd World War, a car accident and new technology such as programming VCRs. She loved her family, her dog, Charlie, reality programs such as American Idol and and videos of her children's weddings. She loved to travel and during the '80's she and Leo enjoyed winters in Florida and trips to Las Vegas which introduced her to the excitement of bright lights and Casinos. The family would like to thank Vicky, her personal support worker over the last few years, as well as the amazing caregivers at Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital. At her request, there will be no funeral, but a private family memorial will take place at a later date. Please make any donation to the Heart and Stroke foundation or Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital.
