Charlotte Anne Hastings

La Verne resident, Charlotte Anne Hastings, 77 years old, went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2011. She was born to George and Charlotte Van Ackere on January 12, 1934 in Los Angeles. She graduated from St. Anselm’s Elementary School in 1948 and St. Mary’s Academy in 1952. In 1954, she married Thomas R. Hastings. The couple resided in Los Angeles, Redondo Beach, Carson, Big Bear Lake and the Palm Springs area before Mrs. Hastings moved to La Verne.

Mrs. Hastings was preceded in death by her husband Tom in 1995 and is survived by her brother Merle Van Ackere of San Marcos, California, her son Greg and daughter-in-law Rochelle Hastings of Anaheim, California, her son Mike and daughter-in-law Julie Hastings of Big Bear Lake, California, her son Scott and daughter-in-law Leslie Hastings of Sonora, California, grandchildren, Neil, Melissa, Brian, Joshua, Michael and Morgan and great-grandchildren Kaden and Lilah.

Mrs. Hastings will be laid to rest in Big Bear City, California.
