Joseph Ike Saavedra, age 80, passed away on September 29, 2012, in La Puente, California. He was born on March 21, 1930 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a retired salesman and lived in the San Gabriel Valley for 70 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of La Puente. Joe is survived by his wife, Jennie Saavedra, his son Danny Saavedra, his daughters Irene Saavedra (Gayle Brodie), Debbie Dargel (James Dargel), Cathy Saavedra, Shirley Saavedra, his grandchildren Nicole Saavedra, Kelly Dargel, Gayle Dargel, his great-grandchildren Ryan Velasco, Aaliyah Lomalin and his sister Louise Martinez.
