

Marilyn J. Castagno, age 78, passed away on May 18, 2013 in West Covina, California. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 26, 1934. She was a loving housewife and lived in the Covina area for 50 years. She was an office volunteer at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Harvey J. Castagno, her 3 children Paul G. Castagno, Lynn M. Ruby, David W. Castagno, her sister Ellie Andersen, her 11 grandchildren Sara, Naomi, Michael, Jonathan, Lisa, Sarah, Jeffrey, Emily, Amy, Justin, Aliyah and 1 great-grandchild Jennah.
Marilyn loved everyone and was very devoted to family and friends including keeping up with all their lives. She loved to bake including Pineapple Upside Down cakes with Maraschino Cherries and her irresistible Monkey Bread. She loved to garden, clean her house, crossword puzzles, visiting with friends and chatting on the phone. She also loved to be silly, was a great hostess, enjoyed singing, music with a good beat, was the 1st one up and the last to go to sleep. But most important, she was a very loving, caring and gracious person.

Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, 966 N. Potrero Grande Dr., Montebello, CA 90640 immediately after mass on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. A reception will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
Special Sunday Masses will be on June 2, 2013 and June 9, 2013 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
