      I remember like it was yesterday when we ( the Jacoby Tribe) used to Come up to Los Angles to visit. Mickey & the  McCarthey family. Mickey would always ask (Is jay coming too?)  I was a hyper little boy and used to cause havoc . Now that I am married and "more Mello" I always  reflect on my child hood . Mickey and Neal were always so very Hospitable and Gracious  to all of us when we visited them. The Family Reunions, the Christmas visits, the weddings. Sadly a funeral or two. Always had very fond memories and experiences . I will always remember playing catch with Babe  , God took Mickey to early from us . Miss you my Sister and Friend. Although I did not meet most of Mickey's wonderful family, I do know that she loved you all unconditionally.  Keep the cherished memories close, and she will live on in your hearts.

Mickey was such a beautiful person who loved her family to the fullest. She lived for Neal, her children and grandchildren.  Mickey, you fought such a long, hard battle you can now finally rest in peace.  We love you, We Will Miss You.

I am reminded of the young 15 year old girl I first met. I am also reminded of the sinking feeling both her dad and I had when we found out that she and Neal had married so young. . . . and how that turned out so beautifully in spite of our fears. I know that the deep caring evidenced in that family is directly due to the caring that Mickey and Neal invested in it. My heart hurts for each of them as I know that Mickey was the well-spring that energized them all. I also know that Mickey's spirit of love and strength lives on in each member of that family.
