Barbara Alice Evans

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband Jack Evans; her daughters Dawn Bellau (John) and Jennifer L. Dupre; her stepdaughters Jessica Grice and Jennifer Evans; and several grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Glen Sterling, Kenny Sterling and Sue Carboni. Barbara was preceded in death by her father Robert Lloyd Sterling and her mother Sylvia M. Sterling.

Barbara grew up in New Orleans and attended Warren Easton High School. She was wed to Bruce Dupre in 1969. They were married for 13 years. In 1986, she married Jack Evans and lived in Slidell, LA. She resided in Texas for many years with her husband Jack before moving back to Baton Rouge several years ago. She was active in her church communities in Texas and Louisiana. More recently, she resided at Brookdale Senior Living Facility in Mandeville, LA and was adored by the staff and residents.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. with visitation on Monday beginning at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Barbara Evans may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness at https://www.nami.org/.
